Gladio’s already used to trying to decipher his own sibling’s penmanship. Unfortunately it had only gotten much worse during this Long Night, considering the constantly-injured state of her hands from her training sessions and hunts.

It’s why she tries to keep her notes simple at this point.

However, upon hearing the word ‘tiny’ that’s when the child began to pout some. “I’m not tiny either, and I don’t have to go to bed yet cause you’re not Dad so you can’t make me.” he smirked hoping he’d gotten the better of the adult with his reasoning.

It was dark, well it was always dark. A few patches of daemons outside of Lestallum was an easy enough job, and it was completed quickly. She crossed her arms, brow furrowed as she glared at her older brother as they made their way back to the road. 

“Do you not think I am a good enough fighter? Or do you plan on treating me like this is my first hunt?”she asked.

Iris scowls, visibly miffed about her food being stolen right from her hands before she could even take a bite! 

She'd retaliate had she not been too drained from her work, though she’d also expected this from her brother, and so she just... wordlessly brings out another steaming bowl from the microwave. 

Hope Gladio thoroughly enjoys the extra seasoning she’d added in that first bowl-- that was the last of her precious packets that she’d been saving up for months.

Everyone else had gone to bed, or at least retreated into their rooms within the hotel. Iris couldn’t sleep, she had barely time to think since the attack. She sat on the couch in the common sitting area, and she could tell her brother had started to walk towards her.

That’s when she just crumbled.

“I tried to go back for him, but Monica wouldn’t let me.” she admitted. Hugging her legs to her chest, tears dropping from her chin and onto her knees. “I promise I tried.”
