Jab, Straight, Hook, Upper Cut!
I’ve always been afraid to try boxing. It seems like it’s so intense and intimidating. My perception was I will die and hate it. I always vehemently refused to try boxing… until recently. Thanks to GuavaPass, I’m able to try all sorts of classes and I always believed that we should try new things, even just once.
Last night, I was checking what workout I would do this morning. My regular Monday class of choice is Led Ashtanga in Life Yoga but for some reason, it wasn’t on the list. The other yoga classes in BGC were hot yoga (no way, tried it before and hated it. Almost fainted, I literally saw spots and couldn’t breath. NOT FOR ME, THANKS.) and yin yoga (I want to sweat, this sounds too steady for me). So took a look at Makati classes and decided to finally bite the bullet and go for boxing at Elite Boxing and Muay Thai. It also helps that class is at 8am so I don’t have to wake up at like 4:30am.
Cardio in a hoodie and sweatpants is harder than I remember.
Want surfer's abs and surfer's arms? Get a surfer's BOD! Break a sweat with this 7 min workout.
On today's Sweat Session, fitness trainer Kelsey Lee takes on the 200 squat challenge (she does 225 to be exact). Learn how you can burn 100 calories just by doing squats! Kelsey uses body and dumbbell weight resistance to go through a series of squats while she burns 100 calories in just a few minutes!
