The Pens are losing a talented defensive forward in Zach Aston-Reese, and the Anaheim Ducks are gaining a player who is:

1) Great at taking away pucks 2) Patiently waiting for shooters to block their shots 3) Fighting for the puck in tight areas 4) Working with offensive players, sealing the play so he can offer an assist or finish on a goal  5) Fighting—and winning Zach Aston-Reese is the kind of player you want on the ice if you don't want your opponents to score, and if you put him in a position to work on his offensive game, you'll have a Selke contender in your hands
