My first attempt making kladdkaka, Swedish chocolate cake. Thanks to emmymade for the recipe. According to comments on her video, this cake is apparently to Swedish kids what chocolate chip cookies are to Americans: It's one of the first things you learn to make as a child since it contains only a few ingredients and is made in one bowl. And my thoughts on it? It's a brownie. It's a giant brownie and I AM HERE FOR IT! Seriously, as a chocolate junkie, I've had some chocolate cakes in my day and this one is AMAZING! It has a crisp, crinkly top while being decadently gooey in the middle. Yum, yum! The more I learn about you, Sweden, the more you rock. Kladdkaka 2/3 cup (1 1/3 sticks) butter 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar 1/4 + 1/3 cups cocoa powder 3 eggs, lightly beaten 1 t. vanilla 2 T. + 3/4 cup all-purpose flour 2 T. powdered sugar Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter a 7-inch springform pan and line it with buttered parchment paper. Set aside. Melt the butter either in a saucepan or a microwave-safe bowl. Add the sugar and cocoa powder. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs with the vanilla. Add them to the butter mixture, alternating with the flour. Pour the batter into your prepared pan. Bake for 45 minutes. The top should be set and slightly jiggly in the middle. Let cool to room temperature and refrigerate for at least two hours. Dust with powdered sugar and serve. #FeedingCreatively #EmmyMade #ChocolateCake #SwedishRecipes #SwedishDesserts #Kladdkaka https://www.instagram.com/p/CSyKqxurcV5/?utm_medium=tumblr
