I've performed with Lea Salonga countless of times, and I have always been enthralled by her talent from the very beginning, but I haven't had the chance to watch her perform until last night. Syempre, when I'm with the orchestra, my attention is divided between listening to her, and playing the music. But last night, was the first time that I gave her my undivided attention. I swear, the moment she took her spot on the stage, she was not Lea Salonga anymore. She suddenly disappeared and was replaced by Mrs. Lovett. All throughout the musical, tigalgal talaga ko sa kanya. She owned me, and the rest of the audience. She is an amazing storyteller; she made me laugh, cry, sing, nauseated (by her meat pies), angry etc. In the end, I clapped my hands so hard, it hurt. But I figured, kulang pa yun sa sobrang galing ng na-witness ko last night. Sweeney Todd was my birthday gift to myself, and it probably was one of the best gifts I have ever had ❤️. Added perk was, I got to spend the the day with lil sis! Sa lahat po ng bumati, marami pong salamat! I'm happy, I'm pleasantly plump, I'm healthy, I'm loved, and thriving quite nicely at 29! 🤣 #atlantistwenty #sweeneytoddmnl #leasalonga #abscbnphilharmonicorchestra2019 (at The Theatre At Solaire) https://www.instagram.com/p/B34Bwbzh_XYw98nO4_k2TOEGOWoCQkfzhAjjTI0/?igshid=1aesef98qjhet
