Leo hated the cold, he absolutely hated it. Snow was nice and pretty and all that, but the below freezing temperatures was just not his thing. It was the only con to not going home for the holidays.
The only reason he was out and about in the freezing cold was because his girlfriend ran out of flour, and no way was he going to let her freeze when he could pick some up on his way over.
So once he arrived at her apartment, after leaving his coat and shoes by the door, he sought her out and immediately hugged her.
"I'm freezing, give me your warmth." He joked, holding her close to him. She immediately snuggled into his embrace.
"You really are freezing, did you even wear a coat?" she laughed.
"I did, and yet I am frozen." He replied as he set the shopping bag by the rest of the baking ingredients
"Oh!" Bekah pulled away to grab a mug from the counter. "This will help warm you up!"
"You made hot chocolate for me?" Leo asked as he accepted the warm mug from her. He noticed she was watching him eagerly, almost looking nervous.
He blew on it for a brief second before taking a sip. It surprised him, how much it tasted like the hot chocolate his father always made for him.
"Y-you're brother said you like it spicy," Bekah began rambling when she saw the surprised look on his face. "And I looked up some recipes online, and I-"
Leo smiled at her.
"I love you."
That made her cheeks go red. He'd never said that to her before.
"I love you too, Leo." She beamed, matching his smile.
"Good," he responded, taking another sip of his hot chocolate. He was almost trying to hide how happy it made him, that she'd said it back to him.
"Alright," Leo prompted. He set his mug off to the side, surveying all the ingredients on the counter. "teach me how to make these. I wanna learn."
Bekah launched straight into telling him everything. She listed the ingredients and amounts, and the order everything was mixed. She had him do a few things, but mostly he stood and observed. He held her from behind, moving with her and watching with his chin rested on her shoulder. It did make it take longer, but neither of them minded
"So, sufganiyot?" He tried, knowing he wasn't saying it right. Leo had sat across the table, decorating a few cookies as she continued to make more of the jelly filled treats. He'd gotten in the way a little too much and had been ordered out of the kitchen.
"Very close," she said, bringing some over on a cooling rack. She taught him how pronounce it correctly, it only took a couple tries.
"They smell heavenly." Leo commented. He was quiet for a moment before meeting her eyes. "I want to spend every holiday with you, mi alma."
