It's so weird being back where the internet is a presence in my life.
Two weeks of jam sessions, watching flamenco performances, eating delicious food, working in the scullery washing something on the order of 500 dinner plates and silverware, wonderful guitar lessons from Hans York, experiencing cool things with Cecily, seeing Renee and Rosie, playing music with all sorts of different people, and discovering things that have changed about myself in the past year has left me feeling very odd about being back in the world of cars and cell phones and a community larger than 500 people.
Now comes the readjustment period. Otherwise known as the "Adam is going to bitch about the fact that you can't walk 25 feet without seeing someone you know and that you don't fall asleep listening to jam sessions constantly" phase.
Anyhow, it's been a very interesting Mill, though not the best I've ever had. I'll write my musings about it down some time later this week. I'm starting a job at a farm up the coast tomorrow morning... early. As in, I have to wake up at 5 AM early. So it's likely I'll be really exhausted. But I want to find time to talk about my experiences since I learned a lot about myself and the experiences I had this year just by talking through them with people.
Also, tumblr is so weird after having not used it for 2 weeks. It moves so fast and I have no idea how I was in any way used to using it like that. Bizarre.
