minji honestly didn’t expect the other to actually show up after her dance practice to pick her up. when she saw him standing there, her heart immediately started pounding quickly, cheeks flushed red. thankfully, it was dark, so hopefully, those things were not things that he could sense from her as she approached him. “hi, i didn’t think you’d actually show up,” she noted, a smile bright on her face as she looked at him. although they weren’t officially a couple, she wouldn’t lie and say she didn’t think of wanting that with him. she hoped that he really did feel the same, and him being here did give her some hope of it.

sunwoo was incredibly nervous about this blind date. he didn’t normally say yes to these sorts of things, but after being unable to trace down the beautiful girl who had saved his life, he had decided to finally (albeit unwillingly) let it go. she was probably a married woman, he told himself, and it was a lost cause anyway. whatever it was, he was no closer to finding her (there were ways, he supposed, in which he could get better results from his search, but it seemed a little too creepy and he decided not to venture down that route). he unbuttoned another button of his dress shirt, feeling rather stuffy in it in combination with his nerves. suddenly, he noticed a very pretty girl walking his way. that couldn’t possibly be his date, could it? however, she seemed to be looking around (or maybe he was telling himself that she was) and so he couldn’t help but wave. “are you haeun?” he asked nervously, saying a prayer that he hadn’t just called over a random stranger.

sowon honestly couldn’t remember the last time she and theo spent time outside of their home and away from the babies. she loved her kids, but she also missed spending time with the other as well, now that their lives were constantly revolved around their new family. after learning that her best friends were expecting, she quickly took advantage of jaesun’s interest in caring for a child and suggested that they look after them. certainly, they could be trusted not to kill them, right? 

"i miss them, but i’m so glad we finally have time to ourselves,” she noted, hand holding onto the other’s. they had happened to stumble onto some carnival after their dinner, and the kid inside of sowon was eager to spend the rest of their night playing some games and riding some rides. “let’s take a trip on the ferris wheel. the view must be beautiful, and we haven’t done something romantic like that since forever,” she exclaimed, giving his hand a squeeze.

ever since finding out that they were expecting, jaesun was trying his best to learn more about pregnancy and babies. however, there was nothing quite like hands-on experience, right? so when sowon had reached out and asked if they wouldn’t mind babysitting the twins for an evening while she and theo had date night, he eagerly agreed. he absolutely adored their two babies, though he couldn’t exactly say if he’d feel the same when they were here crying and pooping. they had just dropped off the two as jaesun held one and andrea the other. at least they were happily playing with their toys at the moment. “i don’t know how those two do it. i hope we’re not having twins,” he noted with a laugh.

it took them time to finally get to where they were, but seungho was relieved. he wasn’t really sure if they were back to ‘dating’ but definitely spending more time alone together was the right way to put it. with a break in schedules for the holidays, he had asked bora if she’d like to at least spend a day or two with him and so, here they were, at the apartment that his parents had in the city that he never got to use because of his work. his parents were away for business, so it felt totally okay to bring a girl home. the rain fell quickly outside, and even with the heater on in the apartment, it felt like there was still this extra need for a blanket, if anything just for the winter aesthetics. he grabbed a fleece throw and brought it over to her, throwing it over her shoulders gently. “i’m glad you’re here,” he noted, awkwardly debating whether to wrap his arms around her or not.

sunhwa was fairly certain she hadn’t read the room wrong. the business discussion with dylan had gone well, and she was one hundred percent certain that he had been more keen in learning more about her personally than about the ballroom area that he had wanted to rent out. of course, maybe she was giving herself too much credit, but well, she would take her chances. “mr. chae, would you follow me?” she noted, high heels clicking against the marble floor to reach the check-in desk. “there’s a complimentary suite we’d like to offer you tonight in exchange for the honor of having your business here with us,” she added. “i hope you won’t decline my offer to you,” she smiled warmly as she typed up the info into the system and handed him one key, clearly showing him that she would be keeping the other. “i’ll have room service send up champagne to the room tonight at 7 pm,” she explained, hoping he was reading between the lines.

Rainy days were his least favourite. Every time it rained, his mum made him stay inside and Daniel found it awfully boring, almost bordering the miserable. He wanted to go outside and jump into the puddles and get his hands on the wet soil and find out what kind of magic fed the plants growing in the back of his house. The dirt under his short-clipped nails, the stains of mud on his shorts, the fallen and lost petals of a flower that got stuck on his hair, it made him the happiest boy in the world.

Until mum showed up and told him to come inside.

Daniel huffed as he watched the rain outside. But all he needed for him to have an idea was a second. He looked over his shoulder, and his suspicions were confirmed: mum was neither in sight nor dad nor big sis. A wicked little grin showed on his face as Daniel made his way towards the kitchen's door.

Such a shame, really. If only there was an adult around to stop him from opening the door and escape to the back garden while it rained. If only someone had been there to stop him from sneaking out...

"Can we?"

Rae was happily tucked against Hyunwoo with the massive blankets nearly burying the both of them. She nudged herself a little bit closer until she was laying against his front. Soon her arms began to wander and tugged at his hands until she was holding one of them between her own, playing with his fingers lazily.

"...you know my finger is still empty," she mused out loud. "I'm wondering how long it's going to be before there's a ring on it." Rae tilted her head back and grinned at him. "But I guess I'll take cuddling for now."
