I wondered exactly who were my most popular CC creators to download from and then I decided to make mini top 5s for various categories to reccomend to you all! So without further ado:

McLayneSims - Best men's fashion
if you, like myself are constantly struggling to create male sims that look just as fly as your female counterparts then you are in luck: McLaynesims has created hundreds and HUNDREDS of pieces of CC for all outfit category types and all ages. Their classic modern style means I'm always downloading something from them!
2. Elliesimple - best women's fashion
When dressing my female sims, whilst I have some of the flashier clothing for occasions, I really gravitate towards what you could see everyday on the street. Elliesimple is actually one of the most recent creators I've had in my folder but their work instantly captured my heart and they remain the number 1 female fashion in my folder! There is so much choice
3. @gorillax3-cc - anything your heart desires
I'm REALLY shocked that Gorillax3 isn't number 1 considering the amount of pieces I have by them. I cannot stop downloading their CC as the aesthetic is EXACTLY what I love in my game. All the pieces above are actually ones I own and regularly use. If you are looking for a creator that covers all bases, Gorilla Gorilla Gorilla is who you want.
4. puresim - for all your essentials!
puresim is who I go to when I want some no-frills, fashionable essentials. They almost exclusively create cc for female sims with the largest collection of jeans I have ever seen! They are also on TSR which is useful for some people and due to that site's requirements all of the cc is low poly! good for simmers who dont have such a powerful pc
5. @camuflajesims - underrated city chic
Picture New York on a brisk autumn day. You're a young female sim heading to work, with a brief detour to grab a pumpkin spice latte. That's what Camuflaje's CC is like. It's cool, it's refreshing, it meshes with alpha hair so well, perfect if you like creating alpha sims. Honestly more people should give this creator a look and I think as more pieces come out this creator will rise more and more to the most downloaded clothes cc maker in my folder!
Honorable mentions:
Darte77 - Mens' elite luxury
I feel like the reason I don't have more Darte77 cc in my folder is purely because some of the polycounts can be a little too high (as a rule i try not to have anything higher than 40k pl in my folder) but if you're ok with that their clothing is STUNNING.
@lazyeyelids - evoking summer breeze
lazyeyelids is another cc creator I've recently discovered but I had to download nearly every piece because they are all just so beautiful. I tend to use their CC with young adult sims and especially for hot weather or everyday categories. They have something for everyone even child and male sims!
