hello, friends ! so i want to take this moment to sit down with you all and talk about what is happening, as we feel like you have a right to know !! essentially, we all know about how the activity limit is slipping and we all know about how we’re losing members on a regular basis. unfortunately, every time we lose one, we have to wait until we get a new mun in order to rematch and the rematches happen frequently. on top of this, the interest appears to be waning, which is not anyone’s fault. it’s just that we’re losing core and new members alike at a rapid pace, and this is a pace that the matchmaking and the roleplaying can’t exactly keep up with. we thank anyone who was ever a member at one point, even if they had to do what was best for them !! you’re still a member of our family and we are still so happy to have had you here !!

thank you to everyone who has stuck it out this long with us. we hate to pull the rug out from under you like this, and we promise, that’s not our intention and we’re so incredibly sorry for doing so. this has been such a great time for pris and i, and we will miss it so deeply moving forward. unfortunately, we feel like now is probably the best time to close this chapter. sadly, this is probably what is best for us admins at this point, and we deeply apologize. you can continue this experience in 1x1s or in a collective group, if you wish. all we ask is that if you decide to start a new group, please don’t use the name or the overall gist of ours. words cannot express how grateful we are for this experience, and don’t worry, we will probably make our return at some point this summer with a smaller overall roster. until then, though, we love you, we thank you, and we’ll miss you. you can find the correct matches under the cut.

alright, you all !! as of now, according to the general and questions channels on discord, the party has officially started !! so make starters, start fights, do your business !! just make sure to pause all current threads, but you can totally continue them after the event is over !! the event will end on sunday at 12 pm est/9 am est/5 pm est, just like in the event post !! if possible, please tag all event-related posts as “sweethearts:pink”, so newcomers later to come won’t get confused. take this time to make the rounds and get to know each other as formally or as intimately as you’d like, since the match ceremony is coming up before we know it. now that the music’s blasting and the champagne flutes of cotton candy rosé cocktails are all on the table,  it’s about time for us to go, and for you all to have fun !! we’ll see you at the match ceremony on sunday.

EVENT ONE: THE PINK PARTY.

mtv has thrown countless parties in seasons’ past, including a white party, a glow party, etc. well, this season, get dressed in your favorite pink garments and get yourself revved & ready. this weekend, the sweethearts crew is throwing you a pink party !! in celebration of all bodies, all inclinations, and even a little color psychology, this is a great way to get each of you out of your shell, but if that’s not enough, we’re sure the endless cotton candy rosé will help. if you’re getting to know everyone and you’re feeling someone’s vibe, the boom boom room will also be properly decorated for the occasion. to find the party playlist, please feel free to click the source link below. you may find the ooc details under the cut.

alright, so this event will last from thursday at 12 pm est/9 am pst/5 pm gmt to sunday at the same time, in order to prepare you all for the match ceremony the next day. during the event, we’ll ask that you pause all previous threads, unless you’re of course the winning truth booth couple and are writing a thread in that booth. ( congratulations, once again !! ) you can continue those threads after the event. this is really a time to get spicy, so if you want to do some risky interactions or punch someone out, this event is the perfect time to do so ! all we ask is that you be kind & courteous of others’ wants and needs. this way, we can all have a good time ! if you’d like, you can post your character’s outfit for the party that weekend using “sweethearts:pink” or plot for this event in the new “pink” channel on the discord server. i think that’s about it, but we can’t wait to see what all unfolds this weekend. please like this post once you’ve read it !!

we know, we know. we hear some of our contestants are less than thrilled about this snowy setting which is why we’re happy to announce that our hot springs and indoor pool are now open for your pleasure !! for those who run cold, you can find relief by taking a short ten minute walk out back but if you’re not feeling up to the trek, you’ll be fortunate to know the indoor pool is heated. have fun and enjoy !

task one: the confessionals.

in lieu of the two of hearts booth this week, we’d like to introduce you to the confessionals !! while exploring the house, you probably saw a room with the door closed that had that label on it. this will be the confessionals room, where you can rant and rave about anything house-related that’s on your mind. in the long run, this will help the viewers to gain a sense of what’s happening and when. therefore, instead of the booth, we decided to have you all become acquainted with this room and this process. 

you may go in alone ( through a self-para ) or you may go in with a friend ( through an interaction thread ), but no matter which you use, please tell us your name, where you’re from, a little bit about your personality, and why you’re here. afterwards, please tell us your first impressions of each of the other housemates after meeting them. doing so will help establish your persona to the viewers at home, but it will additionally serve as hilarious commentary. this will run until the 16th of january, and after that, there will be no more tasks, so make this one count! throughout the game, we invite you to go into the confessionals whenever you feel like, as the more you go inside and spill your guts, the more you’ll be featured on the show. have fun !!

hello ! this will be the gossip blog for sweetheartshq. how it works is that it’ll kind of run like one of those news recap sites. remember afterellen ? that’s the vibe ! on mondays of each week, there will be a recap of the events of that week, which comprise an “episode” of sweethearts. however, unlike afterellen, aftersweethearts also has a function in which viewers at home and avid readers of aftersweethearts can send in their questions and thoughts to get answers by the journalists at-hand. all of this is to say that there will possibly be multiple perspectives of a character being expressed here, with the combination of recaps and anons. if you’d like your character to not be mentioned or specifically not mentioned in a negative light, please let me know or let either one of the mods know on discord and we’d be more than happy to accommodate your wants & needs. please like this post once you’ve read it. thank you !
