💙 Love Me Like the Sunset (99k)

Harry lets his shirt all the way down as he remains on the ground, resting his elbows against his knees.  He creases his eyebrows and just stares at the boy, simply letting him know how utterly over this he is.  The boy has all these people surrounding him, tapping at his shoulder and begging for his attention—pop news outlets think he’s gone missing for goodness’ sake, yet here he is, pleading for Harry to talk to him, and for what?

“C’mon,” Louis continues, his voice coming back down gently.  “I’m here for a few days.  Might as well let me take you out.”

At that, Harry decides on exactly what he needs to do in this moment.

Harry desires nothing more than to live a somewhat okay life, free of charming celebrities who break his heart, so it makes sense when life grants him the exact opposite of that.

💙 Fantasies in Fives (169k)

The boy pauses before he drops the envelope into the chute, turning to look at Louis, and Louis’ pretty sure this boy’s goal is to make everything weirder and more uncomfortable than it already is.

“Good luck to you,” he says nicely, a single dimple appearing in his cheek.

Louis drops his envelope down the chute without another thought before patting the boy on the shoulder. “I’d tell you the same, but then I’d be lying,” he says easily, before moving towards the exit door and pushing it open.

During critical points in their lives, it's easy for Louis and Harry to find comfort in one another—that is, until it becomes extremely hard.

💙 Trick or Die (39k)

“Is that blood on your face?” Louis asks, not even thinking before reaching out and ghosting one of his thumbs over Harry’s chin. He’s not even aware that he’s full on squatting in front of this boy, observing him like a scientist in a laboratory. Louis is just a very curious person, that’s all. “What happened?”

Harry quickly wipes his face with his sleeve, causing the contact between his skin and Louis’ thumb to become broken.

“I fell,” he mumbles, looking down at his lap and furrowing his eyebrows, as though this whole encounter is frustrating him.

Louis remains exactly where he is, trying his best to study this boy and figure out why exactly he’s hiding in some bushes in the middle of the night, as well as why he’s pretending that he’s not that boy in Louis’ class even though Louis knows he is.

the best time of year quickly turns into the worst for Louis once he gets himself involved with things—or supernatural beings, he shouldn't mess with.

💙 Vanity Over Empathy (17k)

“Listen,” Louis growls, his voice at a scarily low level. “I’m not asking you. I’m telling you. If you don’t let us stay here, it’s going to be tragic when your minions find out you’ve been killed with your own weapon.”

They stand there for a moment, wrists tight, the veins of their arms fiercely evident as Louis holds the spear in the direction of Harry’s abdomen with everything he has. The air of the tent is thick with tension as they stare each other down and Louis continues to use his utmost strength.

Louis finally releases him harshly, locking eyes with him in order to understand that the guy is on the same page.

In a world with no remorse, Louis is getting along just fine in the race of survival, but he faces a minor setback once he finds himself stuck with a polar opposite.

💙 Heaven’s Just Begun (35k)

“Harry, I’m serious,” Liam continued, still holding the rose. “Louis’ so fucking gone over you, and he’s rich. He could literally be your sugar daddy, and we wouldn’t have to live like this anymore!”

“Are you done?” Harry asked, his words inaudible as he spoke through a mouth stuffed with untoasted bread. He pointed behind himself, over his shoulder as he backed out of the kitchen, nearing the hallway. “Because I have to take a shower…”

“You’re impossible,” Liam said dejectedly, before throwing the rose back into the bucket and leaving out of the apartment with a grunt.

Harry is wholly convinced he's quite literally a sad excuse for a young adult, but this doesn't seem to stop the "boy next door" from developing the world's biggest crush on him.

💙 Deuxsphere (156k)

The way the vines of the rose curled around the sharp straightness of the dagger was an image that was going to be forever embedded into his mind. The longer Harry craned his neck to look at it in the mirror, the more he realized—it was fucking creepy. He couldn’t for the life of him figure out why it was there, or why humans decided to make it mean something.

Harry's first year at uni is guaranteed to be a breeze as long as he stays focused, steers clear of flying footballs, and completely avoids boys who are in bands.

💙 Tainted Spirits For Three (80k)

Louis was walking alongside the bleachers when an orange flying object nearly took his head off. Well, it missed, but it was still pretty close, and it hit the bleachers and bounced around before rolling to a stop. Louis turned in the direction the ball came from, in order to see who this was that had decided to kill him.

“Sorry,” Harry said, scratching at his curls. “I just, uh…lost control.”

or the au where Harry loves Louis, and Zayn does too, which results in confusion that tests Louis' relationships with both.

💙 Pinky Promise (10k)

“Well, Mr. Stalker,” Louis starts. “I don’t know of any other ways to occupy myself in this establishment.”

“You can dance with me if you’d like,” Harry suggests, his eyes just a hint pleading.

Louis shakes his head. “Dancing’s not my thing, mate.”

Harry’s face falls at that, his fingers starting to faintly brush at Louis’ knee. “Why? Not even with me?”

Louis glances down at where Harry is making contact with him, biting the inside of his cheek. He looks back up to find him still staring, seemingly desperate for Louis to share a dance with him. Honestly, this guy is cute—well, a little more than cute, let’s not dwell on it—but he’s not having sex with this guy tonight, so he doesn’t want to give him any false hope for even a second.

or the au where Louis is looking for a quick fix and finds a little something more.
