by the time she texted him, it’d been a few days since they bumped into each other at that bar and he’d helped her get home...not that he was counting. anyway, when she asked to see him parker agreed and that’s why he’s answering his door quicker than he normally might. mimi paced around the room, “i loaned you that jacket with the express condition that you never get photographed in it and this is what you do to me? this isn’t sisterhood of the traveling pants, sweets.”

she shook her head, before shooting a stony glare at the other girl, “and, if it was, i’m lena and you’re carmen. if this is the clique, i’m massie and you’re kristen. or claire.”

lowering her voice, she gathered the aforementioned jacket in her arms and huffed, “not only have you been photographed in it, you wore it on a date with chris. my chris.”

“i hate to say it...” not enough, apparently. “...but i think i’m starting to get tired of misery business. they played it while i was walking around target the other day and it didn’t make me wanna drum on shopping carts or go to electronics and get the newest rock band game like it used to. we need new material.” / @sweetshqs

parker nearly collided with someone on his way into the studio room he expected sweets to be sharing with her bandmates, but it definitely wasn’t styx or sky he wordlessly stepped aside for. “hey,” he greeted casually, sauntering over towards sweets and leaning against the wall adjacent to where she stood. “who was that?” / @sweetshqs

“don’t take this the wrong way,” murmured parker distractedly, approaching his date and kissing her head in greeting, “but you reek of alcohol. so do i.” after all, he was wearing half of the last beer he ordered. ( thanks, travis. ) his jaw still hurt from that punch, too. in proper lighting there’s already a spectacular bruise forming over his flesh, but here and now it’s easy to hide, so parker figured he wouldn’t alarm sweets just yet. / @sweetshqs

he’s been distraught and distracted all fucking day, but for some reason parker really only feels like a prick when it’s sweets he zones out on. what was she saying? he’d been genuinely listening at first, but then ava finally began answering his texts and their ensuing argument drew him right in. now, suddenly, he feels so far away from sweets even though they’re both seated on the same fucking couch in her living room. “uh...” parker lifted his head upon realizing it, scrubbing at weary eyes with a sigh. “what was that?” yeah, an absolute prick. he could’ve cringed but ultimately just groaned softly. / @sweetshqs​
