The attendance at the Carnival was diverse, to say the least, but it was easy to tell what group each person belonged to. The Silvers wore lavish garb, undoubtedly worth more coins than Noah and Matthew had ever had thrown together. Their hair was washed, cleaned, and styled into what Noah could only assume was in-style, even though he thought that majority of them looked fucking ridiculous. The Reds were just as easy to spot with their worn-down and tattered clothing, even though Noah knew well enough to know that they were likely wearing the best outfit that they had. 

( With this, the Silvers and Reds standing together, so obviously divided, Noah almost wanted to fight with the Guard. A l m o s t. )

There was a girl that stood out, though, with flowers weaved into her hair and petals dropping behind her like she was out of some sort of fucking fairytale. ( He thought, absently, that Matthew would have fallen in love with her on the spot. ) He spotted a familiar flower in her bouquet and approached her easily, his feet carrying him forward with ease ( as they often did when he thought of her smile, and being the one to put it there. ) He gestured to the yellow sunflowers in the girls grasp, hand already digging into his pocket to pull out the few coins he had. “How much for those?”
