"is this the end of all the endings?"
no longer will the stories end with mosaic broken hearts and minds that went mad.
she’s started to write a new story- her ‘story of us’ that looks a lot like a love story.
all the bad blood has been cast aside, and in her blank space she’s written a name.
the last name on the list. the man on a white horse, who actually treats her well. he loves her like she’s brand new, keeping in mind that today’s never too late to be brand new. he’s the best thing that has ever been taylor’s.
this may not be a fairytale, yet the castle built out of bricks crumbled overnight. she had traded her baseball cap for a crown, yet the liars took it. the battle was long, it was the fight of her life. she only brought knives to the gunfight and suffered from the consequences. after all, bandaids don’t fix bullet wounds.
reminding herself that all people do is throw rocks at pretty things such as love, she watched the chaos and drama around her with a glimmer of hope that these things will change. he helped her on her darkest night, telling her that she’s worrying too much about things she can’t change, not at the moment, when every move she makes sends hisses in her direction.
she might seem okay, but she’s not fine at all. haunted by her past, all she could find were teardrops on her guitar. she never felt farther from fearless. he knew that all he had to do was stay- so he stayed. he taught her how to shake it off, and take deep breaths to calm herself down, as she walked home to her cats. not alone, but with him. despite her bad reputation, he danced with her, and it was the best of nights. if this was a movie, nothing would be different, all of the pieces are in place. and right there, where they stood, became holy ground.
she’s no longer scared to see the ending, yet she still tells him not to read the last page, for even she doesn’t know how the storyline ends. one thing she’s certain of is that she’ll stay.
watch as it all begins again. this is the golden age of something good and right and real. look what the world made taylor do.
the world made her look past the curtains and out at the city, where she found him in her wildest dreams. the world made her find her place in the world, which helped her believe again in all things red.
the world made her find the king of her heart. and when he said forever and always, she knew it was the truth.
