They need to calm down

So I’ve listened to YNTCD about 12 times now, and obviously it ABSOLUTELY slaps but there’s one thing that really resonates with me, that I thought I’d share with you all.

The thing I love most about it is the fact that it completely subverted what I thought it would be about. When I heard the title, and because of the obvious ME! reference, I thought it would be a Blank Space/ME! style song about how people tell Taylor she needs to calm down. I was expecting a song about how she’s “dramatic”, “crazy”, “emotional”, “wild”.

Now don’t get me wrong, I ADORE Me!, and Blank Space deeply resonates with me and has always been one of my stan songs (proud of being a Nightmare Dressed Like a Daydream).

But it was so refreshing and uplifting that it wasn’t in fact us, or Taylor, who needed to calm down. But in fact it is those people who continue to pervade hate wherever they go, but accuse others of hysteria.

And for that @taylorswift I just want to say thank you. Thank you so much. We love you, and we love everything you are, and how much you’ve done for us. And I love that this song twists on its head the very thing that often gets thrown at you, and people like you.

Did anyone else think/feel the same? I just love it so much and the more I think about it, the more uplifted and joyful I feel. She’s such a gifted human, I love her so much 💕✨

Ok so maybe it’s way too obvious but I haven’t slept properly since watching the video at 05:00 yesterday so this is my best theory! I reckon the album is Kaleidoscope, because it’s the collective pronoun for a group of butterflies AND it’s what we fell down in Brendan’s heart to get to Austin Powers/Hairspray dance party 🦋💃🏻 I also think the next single might be called Nashville, because of this cryptic tweet that I feel like HAS TO MEAN SOMETHING or I really am clutching 😂 @taylorswift @taylornation I will not be able to sleep until we work this out, please lord tell me if I’m even slightly close 😂😫🙈
