Taylor Swift wearing Etro at the 2020 Golden Globes Awards. I was so fascinated about this dress I couldn't resist to not drawing it. It took me several hours to illustrate but it worth it. Illustrated by Georg Martin

Swiftie Fandom
I absolutely admire what Taylor Swift has recently done with Apple Music. I am very proud not only to call her my idol but also because I admire the way she took a stand for what she believed in. She knew how others felt and became their voice. So what you are about to read was inspired by Taylor’s courageous act....
I love Taylor Swift. I also love being a swiftie. I find it amazing how close people in this fandom are and how close they are with Taylor. But, as much as I love our fandom I have come to realize that we are very clicky. When I say clicky I do not mean rude or mean or disrespectful. What I mean is that 90% of this fandom is in a group. Just think about it for a second. Do you have a bunch of friends that you can always tweet to, or do you have a group that you meet up with, facetime once in a while, go to concerts together, and have group chats? Even if you may not do all these things do you still have a group? When you go on tumblr and post pictures, videos, or just words, are there people who respond, reblogg, and acknowledge what you have done? This is what I mean by “clicky”. So many people are known in this fandom and have people responding to their posts and they have a “group”, and I get it, once you have your group you don’t want another person and you love your group with just the people in it. If you are known by a bunch of swifties on twitter and you keep talking about a concert you are going to with your friends, I get that you just want to go with your friends. But I do not understand why you have the right to totally ignore people just because you have over 5,000 followers on twitter.
As I mentioned before about 90% of the people in this fandom have their group. Thats great!!! You met people that have similar qualities as you and now you have best friends for life!! You guys all go to a 1989 concert together and you get into Loft 89. THATS AWESOME! By meeting Taylor you have EVEN MORE followers on twitter. I. LOVE. THAT. But what I don’t love is that 10% that are not part of a group. They do not have internet friends to go to concerts with or even meet at concerts, heck even going to concerts is awkward and strange for them because everyone else there seems to know each other. They do not have thousands of followers on twitter and their posts on tumblr are never responded to. They see a tweet by someone who met taylor and that person is going to the same concert as them. So they tweet to this well-known person but are totally ignored. They tweet and tweet and even post things on instagram about this person and are still ignored!! While it may seem cool to have a bunch of people tweeting to you and you never respond, it is NOT cool when you are the one being ignored. By being ignored like this can cause someone to lose interest. When you lose interest, you start to change lifestyles. Changing lifestyles includes deleting fan accounts. Soon enough you are no longer considered part of the fandom. Your twitter account is now a combination of your first name and last name and no longer is a line from your favorite song or end with ‘swift’. Your followers consist of people from YOUR SCHOOL and that would NEVER happen if this was a fan account. It is sad to think that this actually happens, but it is true. As friendly as this fandom is, it needs to be more welcoming. What happens when more swifties want to join. Will they be ignored too? Or can they only become part of a group if they meet Taylor?
I am not writing this just to annoy people. I am not writing it to get attention. I do not mean to sound like I am bashing well-known swifties do because I am not one of them. I have had great conversations with A BUNCH(!!!) of well-known swifties and have heard great stories/experiences from them. I am writing this because the ignored swifties are trying to show they exist and still not many people are noticing. I do not want anyone to leave this fandom because I truly believe that this fandom is the best. I KNOW this fandom is the best. How many people in this fandom have met Taylor. How many people in this fandom have made a HUGE difference. HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN SAY THEIR IDOL CHANGED THE MUSIC INDUSTRY. The answer is none. There are not enough words to describe the talents and achievements of this fandom and I could never be more proud to be apart of such an outstanding group of people. There should no longer be a 90% and 10%. It should just be a 100%, for a 100% happy, loving, and successful fandom. By having this type of fandom.....
NO ONE IS LEFT OUT
NO ONE IS IGNORED
EVERYONE IS PART OF A GROUP EVEN IF YOU LIVE 682,579 MILES AWAY
and most importantly,
EVERYONE LOVES BEING IN THIS FANDOM
This is my heart... #swiftties
