potential by swimrabbit FULL MONTY # 2017 세상에는 많은 사람들이 있고 그에 따라 존재하는 어떤 대상에 대한 모든 피상적인 생각들은 항상 다르다. 가령 음악이라는 예술적 범주에서는 더더욱 그럴 것이다. 장르라는 것을 단적으로 규정할 수 없는 요즈음엔 어떠한 현상을 보고 어떠한 상황을 겪게 되면서 느꼈던 정서 또한 '기쁨' 이나 '외로움' 처럼 한 단어로 표현하기가 어렵다. 현상과 상황으로부터 만들어진 그 뒤섞인 여러 감정들과 모습들을 곡들마다 고유의 색채와 질감으로 담아내었다. 'unfamiliar, instinctive, foolish' 를 모토로 시작 했던 이 곡들은 나중에서야 1997년의 영화 'the full monty' 의 남자들처럼 고심 끝에 약간의 타협을 하게 되었다. 그 영화의 스토리만큼 우스운 일은 아니었으나 처음의 의도 만큼 완벽하진 않다. 하지만 이런 과정들의 고찰로 인해 역설적인 조화가 멋지게 이루어졌다. 그리고 여러분은 아는지 모르겠는데 사실 토끼는 물을 싫어한다. - FULL MONTY # 2017 There are numerous types of people out in the world and because of its variety, what people have in mind to certain object also varies. Nothing so ridiculous as in the movie, but it has similarity in that nothing is near perfect as in the blueprint. However, the process of realising the original idea and compromising to what others expect has led to 'Ironical harmony'.
