Midnight Mob debut "Swing On" music video
Midnight Mob have a new music video out for their new track “Swing On”. Frontwoman Blackey Deathproof says of the song: “‘Swing On’ is about braving the process of dropping all your vices and false beliefs you have about yourself to become the person you’re meant to be. I know I have to break down walls to get where I need to be…

BABE RUTH QUOTES & THOUGHTS ON REJECTION
OK, real talk: any writer who tells you that having their work rejected doesn't hurt at all is either lying out their ass or just actually doesn't give even a single shit about their work. We all know that it's a part of the game, and all you can ever do is send out your best work & cross your fingers, but every single one of those damned "thanks but no thanks" letters stings. It's just a fact. That being said, you know how Babe Ruth is pretty much considered the greatest baseball player of all time? Dude who knocked the ball out of the part 714 times? Well, he also happened to strike out 1,330 times in his career. 1,330 time the greatest baseball player ever came up to the plate, and sat right the fuck back down three strikes later, without ever even touching first.
Failures happen. Rejections happen. And when they do, it hurts like a motherfucker BECAUSE WE CARE SO MUCH about what we're doing. But as Babe Ruth himself said, “Never let the fear of striking out get in your way.” Here's another: “If I'd tried for them dinky singles I could've batted around six hundred.” And another: “How to hit home runs: I swing as hard as I can, and I try to swing right through the ball... The harder you grip the bat, the more you can swing it through the ball, and the farther the ball will go. I swing big, with everything I've got. I hit big or I miss big." So, to all my fellow poets who today saw a rejection in their inbox, and bummed out on it (like I'm currently doing myself), here's this:
Step up. Swing away. Fuck it. It's only "failure" if you let it be. We got this, all of us.
