I went to admire Gustav Klimt’s exhibition. We see in Klimt's piece (The kiss) an embracing couple. One can see the hands as the expression of a deep intimacy, being carried away by the passion of love. The work also evokes a harmonious world where the couple isolates itself in the sublimation of the amorous feeling, ignoring the reality around them and evolving in an unreal and utopian universe composed of a great loving force. I decided to imagine Klimt's work in the modern era, where intimacy and passion are gone and what’s left is a constant battle of the genres where the primary tool is sexuality. We are losing that unique moment where deep connection takes place for a little while and the evolution of the utopian universe filled with love disappears.
