Anony, hear me out. Malleus uses Silver's trauma of Swing against him in his dream...telling him that Swing doesn't exist here, that he's safe, that no harm will ever come his way if he just keeps himself by Malleus' side. No bugs, no more forced "playtime" just Silver, his family, and Malleus. If he wants to wake up sooooo bad, Malleus will just throw him over to Swing after all, if you want so badly to stay in a world where he can come after him anytime then that means Silver must enjoy it, no?

(Malleus wouldn't ever give Silver away, it's a shallow threat but Silver doesn't know.)

This is excellent, especially because I don't think it would actually be enough to persuade Silver into staying in Malleus' dream world. God would it hurt, though.

Hammering it into him that if he says no to protection offered by his dear prince, then Malleus will be forced to believe that Silver is just a fucking slut for that old bastard. Desperate for him all along. Trying to uphold some sense of dignity by pretending he doesn't like it, little liar. If Silver wants to save the world, save Malleus and his father, then he has to accept that this is how his master will see him for the rest of his life... And that hurts more than any encounter with Swing ever did.

I wonder how Malleus would react to the refusal, when, like you say, he had no intention of ever just giving Silver to Swing. Broken, pathetic, troublesome brat as he's being, he will still never give up his knight. He will be infuriated when he realizes his empty threat isn't enough, for sure.

He could always create a fake Swing to torment Silver in his dreams, and if Silver's mind is damaged enough, maybe he won't even know the difference. But why let the image of some perverted and gross old man haunt Silver any longer, when he could just punish him by doing all the things his knight is most afraid of as himself.

Silver loves being touched like this, abused like this, tormented and tortured. He must love it. Otherwise, he wouldn't choose to leave. No need to make him choose, though, when Malleus can do everything he wants for him. He'll even keep going when Silver cries and yells at him to stop, just like Silver would really want him to <3

I was thinking about swisil before Swing was even conceptualized. I wanted to ship Silver with whatever beast they gave us this year since the last event was posted and I knew we wouldn't see Silver for a halloween event until 2025. I've been DESPERATE for a big, fat, and old fae to throw onto this boy, do you have any idea. I'm winning the fucking Silver Whump Lottery. AND he's evil and he sucks. AND Silver has already been told terrible stories about him his whole childhood. I'M WINNING ‼️‼️‼️

I was going to wait until we got to see more of him to start properly going insane, but.. Can you imagine everytime Silver as a kid brushed his papa off or didn't eat his food, Lilia sitting him down and telling him another gruesome story about the cruel and sadistic king of desire, warning him that if he smarts off again, the king will come to take him... And unbeknownst to Lilia, Swing was actually active and roaming about the Briar Valley woods?

It would be very unfortunate if Silver was out taking a nap under the summer sun, somewhere deeper in the woods than he normally goes. The birds and critters trying as hard as they can to wake him up before He comes and snatches him. Plays with him. Touches him and hurts him in ways he hadn't conceived.

What could he even say after he gets home? The king only catches him if he misbehaves, right, like his father said? He must have been bad. It's his fault. Father would hate him if he found out that he was such a bad kid, the king of desire had to punish him, so why tell his father?

It makes me wonder how long something like this could go on before Lilia finds out. Silver always comes home with bruises anyway, and if anything, it seems like he's doing better at his training. He doesn't even groan when it's time for dinner either, he eats every last bite

Maybe he would think he's getting better at raising him, if it weren't for how Silver cries at night. How he rushes to take a shower, by himself— no peeking allowed, as soon as he gets home every day. He doesn't even want to go out much anymore, completely out of character for his little outdoorsie kid. He only goes when he's ushered on by the deer and birds..

However the confrontation goes down when Lilia does finally find out, I'm sure it will be very explosive 💕 and poor Lilia, too, when he realizes Silver never told him because he thought it was all happening as a punishment and that his father would hate him for it.. </3

What if Lilia only learns about what Swing did to Silver in the past when they encounter him in Halloween Town and Silver badly panics, then once they're to safety, Lilia insists that Silver tell him what that was all about. And when Silver relents and tells Lilia, the other students are all secretly listening in because they're curious too why Silver freaked out like that. So now not only does Lilia learn about this for the first time, but a dozen of his friends and classmates do too.

The children yearn for SwiSil oh my god...

I love the idea of Silver getting away with the little secret his whole childhood, and maybe Swing eventually slows down on his assaults anyway without Silver even having to do anything. He took what he wanted, and when he got bored, he left.

Silver could feel relieved, for the most part. If he was still a kiddish age when it stopped, then maybe he thinks it's because he was finally a good enough kid that the boogeyman left him alone. He's forever haunted by it, but it was his own fault for being bad, and the worst of it is over now, right?

Swing might return a few more times as he ages, just to keep him on his toes and remind him that he's helpless against him. With all his training and strength, he's nothing against one of the strongest fae there is. He's older now, at least. His father told him already, several times, that the boogeyman isn't real and it was just an old folk-tale. He might be considering telling Lilia finally, but... Every time he thinks about asking, he gets overwhelmed imagining how his father would respond. And with NRC just around the corner, he'll be safe there anyway. No need to make a fuss.

As for the confrontation in Halloweentown, I know it makes more sense logically for Swing to be from the far past and have no idea who Silver is, but... I just really really like the idea of him seeing one of his favorite playthings appear and making a very public showing of the exact type of relationship he and Silver have.

Silver, stuck there, uncharacteristically frozen solid in fear. Unable to defend himself or explain anything that's happening better than Swing's loud declarations of how he's been teasing and playing with him since he was so, so little. So defeated, perfectly aware of how stupid it would be to fight back or struggle against the man teasingly grinding against him, groping him. Slithering hands touching and grabbing whatever they please, exposing whatever Swing wants to see.

I know at least a good chunk of the others will join Lilia in trying to slaughter that beast, but god, can you imagine the hopeless despair that fills Silver when, just like in the event, they're outmatched and forced to retreat? Dragging a thrashing Lilia away with them, forced to leave Silver stuck there with him, left alone for Swing to do anything he likes with him.

swisil seems so interesting, you're a genius. my idea of it perhaps is that swing and lillia have some sort of past, so he would torment or kidnap silver to get back at him (but of course silver is such a cute, he decides he wants to keep him)

I took note of Silver's line about Swing, absolutely. I'm still not sure what Swing's backstory will be, if we get any sort of genuine traumatic backstory type of thing. I'm fine with saying that he's just an evil big bad for the party to take down, though, and that Silver is just a naive and sweet boy, endlessly trying to sympathize with the people who treat him the worst

I would like to think that even when Swing has Silver in his clutches, torturing him out of his mind and teasing and playing with him to his heart's content, Silver will still try to empathize with him and feel bad for him. And Swing would keep encouraging him with it, too. Yes, yes, Swing is so sad, and so hurt, and he just wants to keep Silver safe by punishing him for his wrongdoings, so turn over and let him get to spanking, okay~♪

And I love the idea of Swing using Silver for revenge, anon. Maybe the reason why Swing has to stick to the shadows and hide from the world in this AU is because he lost a fight with Lilia when he was younger and stronger. Lilia's power is waning now, but maybe, Swing's is too... Launching an all-out attack against the world is a bit much, but at the very least, he can strike his enemy where he's weakest. Take his innocent son's innocence again and again and again, while he's none the wiser the whole time!!

And of course, poor Silver, he's too loveable for his own good. Swing never intended to be so harsh on him, but it's too much fun playing with him. By the end of it, it really doesn't have anything to do with his father <33 he just wants to see Silver cry one more time, and then another after that, and they can see where things go from there...

Silver and Swing's relationship is so interesting that I want more. Lilia will most likely have to be dragged by everyone so that he does not attack Swing. But what if Silver doesn't mind? Having matured, Silver still cannot forget his tormentor and begins to miss him. After the others returned to rescue Silver, they saw that he didn't really want to come down. Lilia would have had several shocks in one day. What do you think about this?

ABSOLUTELY!!! The second update showed more of Swing, and something that caught my attention and made my brain wonder was how he pretends to be so so sad and hurt when others are (reasonably) upset with him. He does it like it's a joke, but Silver, especially as a kid, would take it very seriously.

I can imagine Swing pretending to be hurt, going on about how Silver hates him and wants nothing to do with him, how Silver cries just at the sight of him. He's such a naughty boy, he can't even smile when someone greets him. Can't even do as his betters tell him to.

And Silver (in the midst of being horribly assaulted) doing his best to stop his tears and tell Swing he doesn't hate him, he was just... Surprised. Doing a horrible job at convincing Swing, and himself, that he isn't mad, he even likes it when Swing comes to see him, he understands that he needs to be punished, he knows that he's been bad. Whatever the king of desire wants to hear, whatever will keep him from getting mad or disappointed in him.

If he keeps up that line of thinking, maybe he'll come to believe it eventually. Just keep telling himself that he likes it when Swing comes, he likes it when Swing hurts him, and maybe it will be true, and Swing will be happy that Silver likes him and it'll all be over a little faster next time.

(Maybe Silver genuinely coming to believe in the lies he tells himself is the thing that drives Swing away and causes his visits to become so infrequent as Silver ages... He stopped crying and begging for him to stop, so of course he got bored. And at that point, it leaves poor Silver left wondering what he did wrong that drove him away. As if that's the problem here.)

To be honest, I think Lilia will come to realize what's happening in Silver's mind fairly quickly. Silver's always been so quick to blame himself for everything, especially so in this AU. The harder part is figuring out how to make Silver understand that he did not in any way deserve what Swing did to him... And figuring out how to kill Swing, bring him back to life, and then kill him again.
