Er het 1875 d’Milchschoggi erfunde. Vorhär het’s nur dunkli Schoggi gha, aber mit em Zuesatz vo Kondensmilch het er en mildere, cremige Schoggi gmacht. Das het d’Schoggi für vill Lüüt no feiner und beliebter gmacht.
Rodolphe Lindt (1855–1909)
Dr Lindt het vor rund 130 Jahr d’„Conchiermaschine“ erfunde. Die Maschine sorgt dafür, dass d’Schoggi ganz fein und cremig wird, indem sie d’Kakaomasse lang und gründlich rührt. Das isch bis hüt e Grundlag für d’Qualität vo dr Schwiizer Schoggi.
Henri Nestlé (1814–1890)
Obwohl er vor allem für sini Babymilch bekannt isch, het Henri Nestlé mit seiner Kondensmilch-Technik indirekt zur Entstehig vo dr Milchschoggi beigeitrage. Seine Erfindig het Daniel Peter ermöglicht, Milch in dr Schoggi z’verarbeite.

Important Inventors of Swiss Chocolate
Daniel Peter (1836–1919)
In 1875, he invented milk chocolate. Before that, only dark chocolate existed, but by adding condensed milk, he created a milder, creamier chocolate. This made chocolate even finer and more popular for many people.
Rodolphe Lindt (1855–1909)
About 130 years ago, Lindt invented the “conching machine.” This machine ensures that chocolate becomes very smooth and creamy by stirring the cocoa mass thoroughly and for a long time. This remains a fundamental basis for the quality of Swiss chocolate today.
Henri Nestlé (1814–1890)
Although he is best known for his infant formula, Henri Nestlé indirectly contributed to the invention of milk chocolate with his condensed milk technique. His invention enabled Daniel Peter to incorporate milk into chocolate.
These pioneers made Swiss chocolate world-famous through innovation and passion. Their inventions are still the foundation for the fine, creamy chocolate that we all love today.
