Swiss Side · THE HUNT FOR WATTS & SPEED As Ironman World Champion and Swiss Side athlete, Patrick Lange rolls toward defending his title in Kona, our aerodynamics team has been on the hunt for WATTs as we work to help him get even faster. We support Patrick with his complete system aerodynamics. This is the first of 6 areas were we are helping him find new WATTS. Wheels and tyres: We instruct Patrick which wheels to use in which conditions and advise on which tyre combinations are the fastest for him based on both aerodynamics but also importantly rolling resistance. Patrick is currently riding the new Schwalbe Pro One ‘Fast Dry’ tubeless tyres in 25c. Depending on the wind in Kona this year, Patrick will be riding either a full HADRON Ultimate 800 setup or a 625/800 combination. If the wind gets really extreme, he will switch down to a 485 on the front whilst keeping the 800 on the rear.
