Good-bye T-Mobile... well, maybe not.

I've been shopping around for a new mobile carrier, mainly because my level of satisfaction with T-Mobile isn't that great right now, but that's not the subject of this post.

For the last few days I've been searching, calling, comparing services online and I find it extremely hard to obtain a quote that matches or improves what I currently pay with T-Mobile. So it begs the question: should I switch carriers?

Here's what I found, and maybe, just maybe, you have a better view of this little comparison that I do. My current bill is under $270, after a corporate discount, for 4 lines with unlimited data, text, calling and roaming (although, T-Mo defines unlimited with a 5 GB data cap)

Verizon: Expensive. 2 lines with unlimited data are almost $300 a month. Phone selection. Good, most are 4G LTE phones, but it's way more expensive than what I currently have.

AT&T: Expensive too. 2 lines with 2GB data cap are $260 and only 1,500 minutes to land-lines. Phone selection is meh, except for the iPhone in all models.

Sprint: Less expensive for 2 lines at $250 and unlimited data, but extra charges if I travel and use the phone's GPS. Phone selection is good, but coverage is spotty.

C Spire (formerly Cellular South): Didn't want to give me a final quote unless I committed to a plan, which was odd. Phone selection now includes the iPhone and many Android phones

MetroPCS: the least expensive, starting at $100 for one phone. Didn't go into family plan options because coverage is not national :-( and it's not available in some of the areas I travel to.
