teaser for the next new feature being worked on. the basic functionality is finished, owing as always to @msasterisk's excellent work; the u.i. integration is pending.

(No, it's not (and never will be) multiplayer)

Also visible: the new ground shader by MsAsterisk--a field of clovers and flowers, which looks really nice. Variation in ground texture and altimetry is planned, as well as foliage and rock scatters.

One of my playtesters, @thefallencomet, recorded this 'speedrun' of the Timesaver level in Train Misconductor (then called train puzzle dot exe (title pending)) back in I think January, when fly-switching was much easier. Nowadays, the loco is more sluggish, cars are heavier, and switches won't throw if a bogey is fouling the points. All this to say, it's possible to do flying switching, but it's extremely difficult. So beating her time is going to be... difficult. (afaict impossible but we'll see what horrible exploits speedrunners find)

Why the music? Because when I was grinding out attempts for an entire afternoon this is what I was listening to--for me the experience of rewatching it without this specific music is incomplete

Train Misconductor levels can get pretty complicated! This one took a long time in the conceptualization stage. It's inspired by the classic Inglenook that started this whole project, but with three connected by a wye, such that each headshunt is also the storage track of two other inglenooks and that each inglenook has two storage tracks. Some of the siding capacities have had to be changed to make it work.
