Made him as a concept at the end of 2021 (you can find the video on my YouTube channel). Made the sketch for this in the middle of 2022. Finally rendered it just a few days ago.

The original inspiration came from the grilled cheese joke that The Jon made in the movie, but honestly, I think it would have been distracting. Although this one certainly lacks the whimsy of its predecessor, I hope you'll see that the anatomy, posing, and rendering technique has seen some definite improvement.

This took way too long for me to finally churn out, but I am so glad I did. I haven't completed a work like this in years, and it's nice to prove to myself that I still can.

My brother recently gave me a Microsoft Surface Mini... so I can paint again! Unfortunately, I lost all of my brush settings AND like one third of the screen room that would typically be reserved for my long-ass hand. So, the paintings may look a little wonky until I get my footing.
