Tell us about what you think of Bea x Korrina?
THANK YOU FOR GIVING ME AN EXCUSE TO TALK ABOUT THESE TWO.
oh my GOD i know journeys gets a bad rep because of goh and all that other shit and how it broke the mold for how pokémon usually goes, but one of the best things to come out of journeys was korrina and bea interacting. and then grapploct screentime (grapploct is the evo of clobbopus, you can see why i liked it).
ASH THINKING KORRINA WAS GONNA ATTACK BEA AND THEN BEING FLABBERGASTED THAT KORRINA THREW HERSELF INTO A HUG W BEA??? OH ANIPOKE YOU COULD'VE BEEN MORE SUBTLE WITH A KISS. BRINGING CHOCOLATES FOR BEA?? BEA LIKING KORRINA BECAUSE SHE BROUGHT HER CHOCOLATES EVERY TIME THEY SAW EACH OTHER??? HAVING A PICNIC PLANNED BY THEMSELVES?? THAT IS SO HOMOSEXUAL.
and you'd think "oh, syi, they're just friends".
WHAT KIND OF FRIEND BRINGS YOU CHOCOLATES YOU LIKE WHENEVER YOU SEE EACH OTHER AND PRAISES YOUR BATTLE PROWESS TO THEIR OTHER FRIENDS?? WHAT FRIEND PLANS A PICNIC WITH YOU ALONE AND ABANDON CONVERSATIONS WHEN THEY SEE YOU TO THROW THEMSELVES AT YOU IN A HUG?? I'M SORRY TO SAY THAT IS VERY UNPLATONIC BEHAVIOR.
there was so much romantic banter between those two omfg i love. "i like korrina because she always brings these chocolates. yummy." THE MOST EMOTION I HAVE EVER SEEN ON A WOMAN. it was genuinely the most enjoyable part of journeys, i loved them despite how little screentime they had.
they give golden retriever x doberman and i love it. bea was just an absolutely ENTHRALLING character. she had my attention the second appeared on the screen, and her battle with ash and ash's riolu was phenomenal for riolu's character growth.
that picnic may as well have been a double date, what the actual FUCK was that. a picnic is nice and all but just two of you, im assuming you're a couple. there are so many friend activities, why a picnic??!??
bea is so nonchalant and unemotive and korrina balances that out nicely. i do wonder what bea thinks about korrinas za dlc outfit lmfao, the expression i made when i first saw it was one of both despair (from a design perspective) and delight (from a whimsy perspective).
