It’s been a fun week at work, I first met the team from RMIT University’s Formula SAE race team after I picked up a couple of left over KTM rolling chassis off them. The guys contacted me to make up a Titanium exhaust for their latest build and I suggested they come down to my shop and I’ll run them through the process of TIG welding. In just a few hours the guys were on the @swswelding TIG and with a few little tips and industry tricks they were welding like pros. Getting in some time on mild steel, stainless, aluminium and titanium sure gave them a look into what metals are like to weld.
