so I know the swtor alignment isn’t really realistic but it’s especially tricky and kinda misnamed when it comes to the Sith Warrior. “Light side” does not mean actually ON THE LIGHT SIDE it means you make smart or strategic decisions that benefit the empire rather than yourself. Or occasionally it means you decide to have self control instead of murdering everyone. That… is not what light side / dark side originally meant lol so I’ve made a more accurate scale:
All three of these scales are totally independent. A sith can be loyal to the Empire and also use the Light Side of the force to fight, like @kemendin’s Khel Sutek. A Sith can also be totally out for themselves and dark side, but still smart and not just gonna murder people willy nilly.. or they can be loyal and also totally feral. Possibilities!
anyway if anyone finds this chart useful and wants to use it go ahead I don’t care
Apparently I finished the entire plot of SWTOR on my Jedi Consular so far and, of course, I liked it a lot but...
*ekhem*
SHAE VIZLA DID WHAT NOW???
Imagining if, when the Jedi Knight reunites with Kira and Scourge during Onslaught, there's this 6 year old kid hiding behind Scourge and staring up at the Jedi knight with huge eyes.
And Scourge announcing to him, "I promised I'd help train your kids."
Force, can you imagine Kira trying to deal with an infant and Scourge at the same time?
**MAJOR STORY SPOILERS FOR SWTOR: TRAITOR ARC SET AFTER KOTET/IOAKTH**
So very soon I have to do the story FlashPoint ‘Crisis on Umbara’ and I know exactly what’s coming....my poor innocent deeply in love Jedi, doesn't.
I had this scene just before, which you only get if your OC has romanced Theron. In this scene, he says “You mean a lot to me, I would do anything to protect you.” Notice that the lighting in this scene is very dark, and instead of romantic music which usually plays when you kiss etc, the music is foreboding. A major hint!!!
He is basically telling you here that whatever happens, he is doing it for your own protection in the long run. Theron really does care about you and he is probably feeling guilty about what he’s about to do...
*Psyching self up for the next part* THIS IS REALLY GOING TO HURT MY JEDI.....
Apparently my brain won’t let me be happy with an uneven SWTOR legacy.
I THOUGHT I was okay with having my main Inquisitor as a Sorc, but I already have a Sage which is up to date with all the content and every other one of my classes are b a l a n c e d. I’ve just been thinking about getting things ready for Onslaught and this issue came up to nag at me again.
Merc - Powertech I’m stupid I meant Vanguard
Juggernaut - Sentinel
Operative - Gunslinger
Sorc - Sage <----- UNBALANCED, WEH!
I did it originally because last year I had wrist pain and spamming the Sorc aoe was easier on me. But I got x-rays done, did blood tests and went through physiotherapy and I got better enough that I spent my whole summer playing FPS games with no problems. Also playing my Operative isn’t too bad.
I think I’m only on Act 2 with my Sorc so I guess it wouldn’t be so bad restarting as an Assassin. I think I also have his mounts and sets unlocked. It’s just I hate actually deleting characters with progress but I’d need his name to reroll with. Zakary is too good not to use considering I made that post where I listed 20+ other naming variations of it that were ALL taken.
I’ve leveled 3 other Inquisitors that I abandoned already. Maybe the 4th time’s the charm!
i saw your notes on this post and now i’m curious - who’s the one companion (or more) who never stopped looking for your ocs after/during the events of KotFE and KotET? with any oc(s) of your choosing!
I suppose I should clarify, first of all, that I meant more in general than in my particular headcanon. For example, Kira Carsen says in her letter that she knows the JK didn't die -- she would have felt it in the force. I think the same could be said for any other companion who has the Force.
Jaesa, in particular -- the SW is literally her purpose in life. She left everything she knew for them, and I think she would struggle to know what to do if the SW disappeared. And she knows that they aren't dead, so...
Also, Quinn. Are you kidding?? He failed the SW once, there's no way he's doing it again. This guy is exploring every possible avenue. I mean yeah, duty also calls, but if you think you can tell me that he wouldn't immediately join the Alliance the moment he heard the SW was alive, you are wrong. (this is making me think, though -- I could totally see a line of events where LS Jaesa and Quinn team up to go looking for the SW. Most unlikely companions, united by their incredibly strong loyalty to one person)
For the smuggler: romanced Corso Riggs. He would very clearly follow the smuggler anywhere lol. He's down bad. This is a case where he'd never stop looking and never stop hoping, but he's also just some guy from Ord Mantell. He doesn't have the resources to actually find the Outlander, much less mount a rescue mission.
Now for me personally -- I put this in the tags already but duh, Vector!! He didn't give up on her when she wasn't talking to him, when she pushed him away, when she's a workaholic and doesn't take care or herself and is really really not doing well and distant. He's still there for her, he never gave up on her. And if he would stick around through ALL THAT I would be shocked if a little thing like carbonite imprisonment would stop him. plus she kept several microscopic bugs on her person for insurance, and vector saw enough to realize she was captured by Zakuul, not killed in the explosion.
For Galen, tbh Lana really was the person who was most dedicated to finding him. But if Quinn had survived the explosion (in my HC he did not), you can bet he also would have been hellbent on exploring every avenue and every lead to find this guy. He and Lana share the adament belief that Galen is the answer to all the galaxies problems. it almost makes me want to make a Quinn-lives AU just because it would be so awesome to see.
dear swtor devs,
i wish you had given companions ambient dialog in places like zakuul. even better, give the chapters a "story mode" and "freestyle mode" where you can pick any companion to come with you. so sure you have to bring the main companions for the first time around, but then you can take whichever companion is your favorite, and occasionally have them make little comments about things. Would be amazing.
