Running unceremoniously late seemed to be a special habit of Armin. He absolutely knew that he shouldn't have had that wine last night, but as usual his Gift didn't see that close to the future concerning his matters on his drinking. Not only was he hungover, he was tired from various meetings that he couldn't miss (but was unsurprisingly late to both of them). Armin was impressed that the Lord-Marshall's Herald didn't start reschedule meetings with the assumption that he was going to be at least five minutes late.
Naturally, the first place he went to when he actually had time was go seek solitude with Taver. Armin often had to come and apologize to the Companion for always waking him up on time, but he would still manage to be late. At least he always managed to make an entrance when he did arrive.
He wasn't alone in the stables, which wasn't unexpected since the boy was wearing trainee grays and classes were out for the day. Armin smiled, closing the door behind him before anymore of the cold air got into the Companion's stables.
"I see I'm not the only one seeking the solitude of the Companion's am I?" The Herald mused, a half smile on his face.
