Ryan smiled good-naturedly at the joke, in high spirits for once. He’d had a couple of drinks, granted, but that didn’t depreciate the validity of his enjoyment. Besides, he allowed himself to think, she was easy on the eyes. “I hope you’ll stay and have another drink with me,” he said, although he really had very little interest in remaining at the party. “I’d love to hear what you’re working on these days.”
"No, adding a mask does not 'automatically make it a Halloween costume'. It makes it a cop out."
“What’cha talkin’ ‘bout? It is a Halloween costume! No one cares ‘bout t’body, as long as t’face looks scary ‘n this mask gives off that illusion.” Frank defended as his bright eyes looked in the direction of the woman opposite him: she seemed as usual, not seemingly positive about anything, and it seemed his choice of attire was one of them.
His bright piercing eyes looked towards her as he lifted the mask up from his face, making it so that he could be seen more clearly rather than the ghoulish mask that had been covering his face so. He looked towards the woman he was utterly in love with. She seemed to not be impressed at all with his choice of attire.
“You’re just a little frightened is all, baby.” He told her, winking at her in a playful way: he adored her, despite her sometimes draining negativity that made him whine like a child not being allowed to do something fun simply because it was dangerous or foolish. “You’re lucky, you don’t even need a mask. That face is scary enough!”

Ryan paused a few inches away from her lips, smirking at the expression on her face. She had quite the mouth on her, but hell, he enjoyed making her wait. “You sound awfully certain,” he said playfully, looking at her through dark eyelashes. “I don’t suppose you’d like to make a wager on that?”

It wasn’t every day that an investigative reporter had the pleasure to run into a film star in Rapture. But it was nearly every day that his life was consumed by new reports of horrible happenings behind closed doors. So, Maverick put on his good face and smiled at Ava Flynn and waved. If one wasn’t sociable in Rapture, one got a stern talking to and strange, accusatory glances.
He only had to stay a little longer. Hopefully, he’d be able to get out once he finished his piece. If the place could stay together.
