“Aren’t you happy we never had kids.” Tink swept the patio of the many turned over flowerpots worth of dirt. Their granddaughter had the magical ability to get into the most trouble the moments their backs were turned. There she sat in the midst of the growing dirt pile, contentedly squishing her fingers in the fresh soil. Every time Tink had tried to move the pile of swept dirt, the tiny blonde managed to find it all on her own.
“At least with grandkids, they get to go back to their mothers at the end of the day.” She huffed and brushed some hair from her eyes. “Do you mind going and getting her cleaned up? If we return her to Zelena like this she’s going to flip.” And of course Zelena had gotten into her fair share of dirt as a child, many a bath were held in rivers while they traveled because the child managed to get herself dirty the second Tink had her back turned. Like mother like daughter, she assumed.
