So yeah, I put birds on things now. Because #soar and Sarah Kay’s poem inspiring this new school year. To welcome my new #8PGu kiddos- I gave them a blank card each with a hand drawn bird 🐦 on it! I asked them to write a note or letter from me, their 8PGu mama, saying what they hope I might say at the end of the year; something hopeful and life giving and true. I wrote one from them too. I hope I live up to it because they’re a great bunch who deserve to feel safe, loved and seen. Thank you for a great day 1.
