so NONSTOP is currently topping the charts in japan rn & i wanna talk about the absolute BEST line in the song.

a little background, mahina, the youngest member is 16 so because of child labor laws she has a limit to how many hours she can work per day & thus usually goes home early from the studio & various group activities. because of that she works so crazy hard to keep up with the other members & it's genuinely so admirable.

SO. the best line (delivered so fiercely by koharu) is as follows:

so this line is so awesome because マヒ (mahi) here both refers to mahina's diminutive nickname but also 麻痺 (mahi) which is "paralysis" so it at once is like. hell yeah can't stop wont stop but also like, we also respect child labor laws!!!

something about that is simultaneously so damn goofy but also like so genuinely awesome & the line is delivered so straight & hard like god it's so good!!! it's so silly but so youthful & awesome idk i love things that are so earnest like that.

[the actual hardest verse is a tie between yuri's & momoka's though bc they ate that DOWN.]
