I’ll answer the poll through another ask, but I’m really interested in what your ranking of the Matsubro and your favorite and least favorite trope may be !

Oh my! Well, Anomatsu, I’m actually pretty terrible at picking favorites, heheh. I always love a lot of things for a lot of reasons, and prioritizing those reasons over one another is difficult. (Plus my anxiety makes choosing a hassle in itself, but I digress.)

When it comes to the Matsubros, I can’t really pick a “least” favorite, because that implies I don’t like them! I love all of the Matsubros. However, in regards to who I read the most fanfiction of, I guess I’d say... Karamatsu, Osomatsu, and Ichimatsu are my top three? Maybe not necessarily in that order, but I digress. I also love any fics with Ichi and Jyushi interaction, because they’re cute. And anything with Totty and Choro hanging out, or Totty and Oso, or Totty and Kara, bcause youngest brother bonding time is good. 

As for tropes, hmmm. In general, I really like stories where the characters are in Danger. I’m not suuuper picky about it, but kidnapping is cool? I’m also a fan of a/b/o, but not so much when pregnancy or conditioning are a part of it. Aaaand-- emotional drama. I love it. I love feeling my heart ache and my chest go hollow when I read emotional turmoil. Ugh, just give me the pain.

As for least favorite, hmm... Well, I guess, I’m not a fan of characters being written as yandere. I dunno, I guess I’m too much of a sucker for fluff to enjoy it! Besides that though, nothing is really coming to mind. I’m not super picky!

Headcanon question: A significant time after the accident, how easy/difficult is it for Kara to learn how to use a blind cane (or DOES he? If he's always got his brothers around to help out, does he even feel like he NEEDS to learn?)? ((Also, I'm glad you're okay. I was beginning to worry since I hadn't heard from you in a while, but I hate to bug people over Real Life stuff that they might not want to talk about.))

Kara absolutely learns how to use a cane! He can’t be completely dependent on his brothers every single minute of every single day, after all. He knows that-- if only for the sad reasoning that he doesn’t want to burden them all the time. I’m sure he takes to it well enough, but he’s worried about bumping into others so he goes really slow, not really connecting that it should be the responsibility of others to get out of his way since he.. can’t.... see them. But eventually he gets better with it. Ichi offers to let Jyushi be his guide dog but Kara is way too put off by the idea of his little brother in a dog suit (and also, let’s be real, Jyushi would be a terrible guide dog; too excitable). 

(Don’t worry about it, Anomatsu! I’m pretty open about my Real Life nonsense, so don’t hesitate to ask!)

Speaking of Blind AUs, I found a comic once with Blind Kara and Deaf Ichi, who had turned out to be terminally ill and so he donated his eyes to Kara when he died

Hey so what if in the blind AU Kara was in a relationship with Chibita when the accident happens :O

Way more feelings than I want to delve into right now lmAO omg that’d be so damn sad ugh. Poor Chibita. Poor Kara. I already have my plate full focusing on breaking the fives brothers’ hearts, don’t make me lump in someone else. And adding romance into the mix? You cruel, cruel Anomatsu.

what is your Osomatsu-san OTP if any?

I’m a notorious multishipper, my friend. But my biggest weaknesses are definitely Karamatsu/Chibita, and Ichimatsu with that lovely couple from the Christmas episode. RIP.

I just wanted to say that your Blind AU fic is SO GOOD, and so feels-y. Great job! While reading it for the 3rd or 4th time, this question popped up in my mind: what would have happened if Oso had picked up the phone when Kara called?

If anyone had picked up the phone when Karamatsu called, then he would have told them that he was in “a bit of trouble” and try to laugh it off. But they’d hear the tears choking him up. He’d be in too much pain to properly brush it off. Being torn between the cynicism that naturally afflicts them when dealing with their painful brother, and legitimate concern, they’d eventually ask what he was talking about.

And then Karamatsu would say that he got into a mess with a gang, and he’s in an alley somewhere, and he can’t see where, and he needs to go to the hospital. Cue some panicking, alerting the other brothers to this emergency, and the five of them teaming up to hunt him down while one calls an ambulance. The one on the phone continues to talk to him so he won’t be alone, though at this point the phone is probably handed off to Todomatsu because literally anyone else would want to be out there actively looking for him, and Todomatsu knows the city well enough that he can probably figure out where Kara is from Kara’s terrible directions.

Eventually they find him, and whoever finds him first texts the others and waits with him for them/the ambulance. Then they all fight over who goes with him in the ambulance, and either Osomatsu wins (big brother perks) or somehow they bully the paramedics into letting all of them on (but with my experience with paramedics, that’s not so likely-- I’m going with TV show rules here). 

Then everyone waits pensively in the waiting room while he’s in surgery, and everyone is kinda panicky and nervous and scared for him. Todomatsu is on his phone looking up acid burns, Jyushimatsu is clinging onto Ichimatsu because Ichimatsu keeps trying to leave (he’s freaking out and his reflex is to go be alone), Osomatsu is biting his fingernails to the grit, and Choromatsu is pacing and asking any nurse/doctor that comes by for news. 

Once they can see him, they all take turns visiting him until he gets his own room, and then they’re all packed in there with him. 

Kara would still be blind, and everyone would still feel marginally responsible, but the horror of ignoring his phone calls would have been more of a, “What if?” instead of a reality. It’d still scare them enough to never ignore a phone call from each other again. (At least for a while. Multiple calls from the same person will always spook them into picking up, though.) 

And yeah! That’s what would’ve happened if anyone had picked up the gotdamn phone :”)

Hey there! Just wondering, would it be overstepping any boundaries to write a fic about one of the other bros being blind? Provided the situations are all different, of course. Definitely don't want to get in the way of your AU, so I figured it was better to ask first!
