Blind Tim AU

Ok, I've been thinking about blind Tim AU way more than I should have. Sorry if this feels weird, or off since I haven't done this before, but this is basically going to be a dump about my AU idea.

Tim got blinded while he was Robin, but before he worked with almost anyone other than Batman. Batman tried to bench him, and didn't want to let me work ever again, but we all know how Tim is. Once he figures out how to live his new normal, he started working, simultaneously staying away from Bruce so he can't stop him while rubbing it in Bruce's face that he's doing it. It's a learning curve to try to figure out how to beat criminals, but he finds ways around every hurtle like a true Robin.

When he started working with the YJ, he didn't tell them that he was blind, and none of them caught on for a long time while they were just working together, and not spending time together outside of work. He works so seamlessly, because he's learned how, and built himself personalized gear to help. So the very first time they all meet up to do something after a mission, they decide to watch a movie. They're all still in costume, but Tim gets his white cane before coming back. They're all confused, but too scared to ask. They end up spending the entire time whispering about it, and not paying attention to the movie. Especially since he wasn't paying attention, so he ended up getting hit in the face with the bag of gummy worms that Bart threw at him. He doesn't notice their inner turmoil since he's gotten four hours of sleep in the same amount of days, and is struggling to stay awake.

Eventually he starts working with the batfamily again too since Bruce gets over himself, and realizes that he can't stop Tim either way. Dick is a lot more supportive, and Damian is more cautiously curious since he's met a lot of people that can work past disabilities. There also wasn't a power struggle for him since Tim wasn't working with Bruce anymore anyway. Tim is working with a lot of organizations that help disabled people in Gotham, especially the ones that have been disabled by the rogues, but can't afford to go somewhere safer to get treatment. Damian begins helping him, and getting involved with every event that Tim puts together.

Anyway, enough of my rambling, I'll probably post more about this, but feel free to let me know if you want to see more of this AU!

Are my eyes deceiving me? Is that a new Trolls Au??

Not actually, it's an old Au I never finished but I really liked this drawing and it made me want to finish the Au. So here it is!

Summary:

Around the time he was on his way to the Neverglades, John Dory crossed paths with a plant that has the quirk of spitting acid out of it's flowers to protect itself from predators. Unfortunately, the plant spit acid in John Dory's eyes, leaving him blind. Permanently. He wandered aimlessly for a while until someone found him...

Calling it Blind JD Au until I can find a better name for this lol.

NEW ROTMHS AU IDEA—Blind Chung Myung AU

Okay now…hear me out. There is two ways this can go, I’ve been cooking this for a while in my head and I finally need to get out of my system.

So this first one is for my TangChung enjoyers who are starved (me too)

Okay so first way this can go is, during the war against Cheon Ma, Chung Myung becomes blind when one of the Demons is able to target his eyes and SOMEHOW manages to injure his eyes. Tang Bo is there to help him get steady and then flee despite Chung Myung’s protest that he was fine—!

Tang Bo obviously ignores this and gets far as possible and hides away nearby with an angry Chung Myung in his arms. He’s terrified when he turns to look at Chung Myung’s face because, it’s so bloody, marked with claws that so clearly wanted to do more that just claw at Chung Myung’s face, those claws wanted to crush his head. Tang Bo tries his best to salvage the situation but what was he supposed to do?, Tang Bo cleaned and bandaged Chung Myung’s face, who had gone silent, just hissing and grunting when Tang Bo poured alcohol on his open wounds. The unspoken reality that was rapidly becoming a scary truth weighted heavily on the two inside the cave they cowered in. Despite being one of the best doctors in his Tang Family, some things weren’t just salvageable, not when he was running dry on medicinal ointments. They were far from Sichuan too—matter of fact they were far from the Central Plains surrounded large mountains and hills. Chung Myung had fallen asleep after the hasty treatment Tang Bo had given him, Tang Bo decided it was best if he watched over him and monitored his injuries.

Chung Myung wakes up to pure darkness. He could hear Tang Bo shuffling about across the place they were in. He knew Tang Bo’s footsteps the best after all. He squinted his eyes open but he still couldn’t see. Assuming he had bandages on his face his hands reached to touch his face but Tang Bo immediately grabbed his wrist, “what are you doing?? Don’t touch your face I was changing the bandages! You might infect yourself with your filthy hands!” Chung Myung stopped, he blinked, squinted his eyes…still nothing. “Bo-ya, are my eyes open?” “Yes, Hyung they are—“ Silence. It was a deafening silence. On the rain that had begun to pour was comfort to Chung Myung. “Hyung…Can you..not see me?” Shaking his head Chung Myung frowned “…No.” Chung Myung could feel Tang Bo go stiff, his grip on his wrist tightened and Chung Myung couldn’t care less because he had something far worst to worry about.

AND SO ON, maybe a little more canon compliant but this is my first idea. Basically just Healing TangChung right here.

SECOND IDEAAA—Chung Myung gets accidentally reincarnated into a blind child. Again still a beggar child…just more kind of more pitied than in canon; I don’t really have a story for this one HOWEVER I do have some pretty good headcanons :D;

- Nobody in Mount Hua realized that Chung Myung was blind at first. Everyone just kind of assumed his slight clumsiness was normal. (Within the month that it took him to reach Shanxxi he had managed to learn how to use Qi to see his surroundings as “echoes” of his surroundings)

- (idk how they find out about his blindness, I’m still cooking up an idea for that) Only Mount Hua and alliance knows about Chung Myung being blind.

- Chung Myung instinctively touches the faces of the 5 swords as a subtle way of imagining their faces—his excuse? Well he has to make sure who is the best looking so he can put them as the face of Mount Hua! That’s the only reason of course.

- Chung Myung KNOWS everyone’s footsteps, anyone he doesn’t recognize he immediately becomes wary.

@lunaticneuroticself I have another thought for the Blind Annabel AU: Say someone disrespects Either Annabel or Lenore (could range from a Microaggression to flat-out insulting them for being disabled and whichever one isn't being disrespected at that time goes bloody feral. Some physical violence may be involved. Or another wall incident but not involving Lenore's friends.
