Having known me for years now, convince me to watch Rings of Power. Or HotD. Or both.
RINGS OF POWER: high fantasy, complicated characters, gorgeous scenery, many dollars poured into it, no one fucks.

This is reductive, but. also true.
I THINK for you specifically that HOTD has a tighter, more coherent story and it may resonate more with you. The counter for team rings of power is that there is a lot more cuddles and familial bonds and the sweetness of friendship, which is rewarding viewing experience vs the severe catharsis of hotd. BUT I ALSO THINK that rings of power is not as enjoyable if you do not find the fun in the mystery boxes (even if you're spoiled for Halbrand) of who is sauron, who is gandalf, which one of these will be nazguls, etc. HOTD is like "we're headed for a civil war. oops, we started a civil war."
