All Falls Down (ft. Syleena Johnson) - Kanye West

"All Falls Down," is a single from Kanye West's 2004 album, The College Dropout. It features singer, Syleena Johnson on the chorus. In the music video, Stacey Dash is running through the airport, with West on her tail, presumably running late for the flight. I enjoy the shot where West is rapping in front of the mirror because you get his point of view with his hands in the mirror as well as his reflection simultaneously. Throughout most of the video, we are in West’s point of view following behind Dash. The part where Wet has to go through the metal detector is pretty funny, especially when he just decides to out his whole body through the xray scanner. In the end, he and Dash part ways as she travels to live out her dream. There’s mention of projecting a certain image to others out of insecurity, which I thought really echoed that well with Dash putting on shades to hide her emotions of uncertainty and some sadness, perhaps at the thought of them being apart and maybe some second guessing of her choice. Such an entertaining music video with an actual story, and to match a really great song!
