Y: What are your thoughts on your personal satisfaction with something you’ve written vs. the popularity of your stories?  Do you tend to be most satisfied with your most popular stories?

You know how I feel about this ;P I used to vent to you all the time about "Marshmallow" xD

I answered this in more detail here, but to sum it up: I have no idea what's going to be popular with readers and it usually never aligns with what I'm personally most satisfied with.

Like, with our Good Omens fics, I'm surprised Aristocats AU is more popular than Crowley's First Christmas xD But that could be due to the fact that I'm sure there are many more Christmas fics to choose from than there are Aristocats fics, lol. I just usually assume "canon" universe stuff would have more of an audience than a more niche, "who asked for this" AU.

Z: Is there a story you’ve written that doesn’t seem to get much love?

Literally all my solo (that are completed) Good Omens fics xD But I chalk that up to me just not being the kind of writer that really suits GO fandom, I guess. I think that's somewhat a part of why I fell out of love writing for it. I wanted to stand on my own (or at least feel like I could stand on my own) and I just couldn't do that there.

So I don't really count those. I guess I'm a little surprised "No Cracks in a Closed Loop" for Sonic doesn't seem to have as much love as I think it deserves. I'm pretty proud of how that fic came together! I love timey-wimey shenanigans and Tails getting to be a badass <3 Plus still some good brubber moments~ I don't know, it feels like the total package to me xD

But again, what I like most isn't always what ends up popular ;P

I'll do these for "sad soggy kids" (my SA1 fic) since that's the one I'm trying to get done today, if possible? Probably not, but here's hoping xD

7. What is your favorite scene you’ve written so far?

Absolutely the one I shared a couple weeks ago, where Sonic and Amy are talking during Sonic CD and she calls him out on how he wasn't doing right by Tails by leaving him with a foster family and never seeing him again. I just didn't expect that scene at all! It really came out of nowhere and brought me to tears in how simple Amy's logic is. "Just show up, just be there." Breaks my heart. But I'm very excited for it to be properly framed by the rest of the fic.

11. What scene are you most hyped for this chapter/fic?

I think... Amy and Sonic have to have a conversation towards the end of the fic that's a catalyst for a conversation Sonic and Tails then have a little bit after. These conversations are really pivotal to how the three of them approach their friendships going forward, and sets the stage for where they're at in SA2 and Heroes (and even in "When the World Breaks, Hold on Tight" to an extent). I've got an outline for it already written up, but I'm really hoping that I can pull off both conversations with the care and nuance that they deserve. If I can stick the landing with this scene, then I'm going to be so hyped for it!

Vanilla couldn’t look away from the news, her fingers steepled and resting against her chin as she watched the “breaking news” banner flash across the bottom of the screen. The television was muted, closed captions scrolled up on screen to let her know what the reporters were saying, but the words barely registered as images from earlier that day played on a loop. The flow of water in the footage as it rushed through Station Square appeared as constant as the twenty-four hour news coverage of the devastation.  She needed to go to sleep, she’d be on-call in a few hours. The only reason she wasn’t at the hospital right that moment was fast asleep on the air mattress that had been set up in the living room of her friend’s apartment and why the television was muted in the first place.

I'm not even joking. That's the last line asdhadjgahsjhg It's its own paragraph, too, there's nothing else to even pretend counts as one line! This is all there is!

As [Sonic] raced the sun in his search, something blazed in his chest and climbed up his throat. It burned the roof of his mouth and seared his tongue until he opened his mouth to fuel the fire. “Tails—”

I'm trying really hard to get out of a flashback, so thank you for requesting this! It's chapter two of "When the World Breaks, Hold on Tight" - the Unleashed fic <3

Tails let go of one of his tails so they could wag freely—even if that meant getting swatted at by Sonic when they accidentally thwacked against him. “You think I can be scholar one day, too?” he asked. Professor Pickle chuckled warmly. “You’re asking questions, aren’t you? Then you already are a scholar, dear boy! With a mind as astute as your own, I see great intellectual feats in your future.” Tails ducked his head bashfully, but he didn’t get away with that for long when Sonic reached out to ruffle his fur, radiating enough pride to knock several electrons out of their atoms. “You can say that again.”
