Small nocturnal creatures would normallywander in and out of the bramble around her; but instead, all was still. AU where Dr Jaina Proudmoore is a world-renowned hydrophysicist researching powerful renewable energy resources and Sylvanas W. Walker is a chain-smoking, high-flying corporate shark who is CEO of am affiliated group of mining & fracking megacorps. They’re both Experts-in-Residence at National University, living in on-site apartments that share a wall.  Jaina accepted the role because the university supports her research in exchange for her mentoring students. No one knows why Sylvanas accepted the role.

Relatable. Look, tbh, when Malfurion lived I was ready to burn everything to the fucking ground too. 

But seriously: this version of events sits with me much better than “Sylvanas is a cool, calm and collected strategist”. Like definitely she can be those things (especially in the novels), but she’s highly vindictive and this imho is much more in line with my reading of her.

I HOPE THEY KILL HIM. They probably won’t, though. 

I’m more worried about the possibility that if he’s terribly wounded or captured, Sylvanas will show romantic interest in him in her concern. In the books, she heavily implies they were lovers before they died and that if they weren’t both dead, they probably would still be. 

(side note, Sylvanas seems confirmed canon asexual in Before the Storm, although they don’t use the word ‘asexual’, she comments on no longer being about feel ‘passions’ and no longer having any interest in it - I’d stop short of calling her aromantic though because she does little things that make me think it’s possible for her to get attached to someone, ie, Nathanos).
