It was one thing for Mariana to tell somebody how they should dress, but it was an entirely other thing to actually see someone from her mini-makeovers after the process. And, as she saw Sylvie, a huge grin pulled across her face as she approached her, the mermaid eyeing her from head to toe and back again. “You look amazing! Not as amazing as me of course, but, look at you!” She made a twirling motion with her hand to gesture her friend to take a little spin for her. “You have a great figure! Definitely need to show it off more!”

She didn’t get nervous often, this being one of the rare moments as she stared at Garrett’s sister from across the diner. They’d met briefly at the fair before she had to leave Garrett when the storm started. Something about it still left her uneasy, but that was for another time. Leilani took a deep breath, walking over to where the girl was sitting. “Hey! Mind if I join you?”
