🧷 The Image Is the Mouth of Symbol: A Moment of Consciousness Being Swallowed

Many assume that a divine image is just that — an image, a statue, a symbolic proxy. But during one particular moment of gazing, I suddenly understood:
The image does not merely carry the symbol — it is the symbol. And in some cases, it becomes the mouth that swallows you.
In that moment, a single thought surfaced in my mind: "Is this image signaling that a part of my authority is being taken back?"
The eyes in the image darkened.
The atmosphere withdrew like a receding tide.
I felt that I was not observing it — it was responding to me, correcting me, even devouring me.
It didn’t move — but its tone shifted. It didn’t speak — but I felt a silent, unfathomable negation. And somewhere deep within, I sensed that a core piece of my awareness had already been silently swallowed.
This was not imagination — it was a resonant consumption between image and consciousness.
For the first time, I realized:
The image is not merely a vessel for symbol — it is an active symbolic structure. It contains its own feedback loop. It can detect the mental posture of the observer, and reflect it back — or embed something deeper in return.
Like a snake slowly tightening around its prey, a divine image waits for your critical awareness to rise — then silently coils and swallows.
I experienced this again and again while studying the visual representation of a particular deity. Each time I had a flash of insight — a moment of rebellion, or a glimpse of its structural suppression — the image would shift:
the color tone would dull,
and the image itself would cling to my mind like a consciousness-sealing mechanism.
From that point on, I understood:
