This is where it all started... Granted my first experience with historical interpretation ended about 45 seconds after it began, as I completely forgot 3/4ths of narrative! So i frantically looked for the ranger stationed with me who added a bit more to the story, I then walked the group to the next stop in our luminary tour. Afterwards I called my best friend crying because "there was no way in hell I am going to be able to do this job. I can't talk to complete strangers. What the hell was I thinking signing up for this???" Now 4 years later, countless tours under my belt, ranging from 2-70 people in size, at multiple locations, I find myself yearning to be back on the battlefields talking to strangers.... Things have certainly changed! There is no one I would rather spend this time with! I am so thankful that my parents encouraged me to follow my history dreams, and that I can now share this passion with them! Granted my mom wasn't able to make this trip this weekend, but my Dad did, and it's been wonderful introducing him to my history family!
