“I’m starting to think you like chasing after me.”
A pocket picked [@syndicatedxfrye]

Not for the first time, stealing had wound up getting Sigyn in a spot of bother.
It seemed that the people she had “liberated” the oak box containing the glowing sphere that they’d been so eager to protect had resulted in her making some new friends.
This time she had thrown one off a building, lost two in the middle of a workhouse, a fourth went under the wheels of a handsome cab - and they still kept coming. Which was why she had resolved to do a classic ‘introduction’ to the leader of the rooks.
She was going to botch a pickpocketing.
She slid off the wall easily and made her way through the myriad of alleyways until she located her target, pulling her coat tighter around her, the collar up to obscure her face (a typical giveaway) as she made a beeline right for him (another obvious sign) before crashing into him with an all-too-obvious dip into his pocket, it would’ve looked to all the world as though she had never picked a pocket before, and she couldn’t have been more obvious about it if she had told him out loud that she was doing it.
She could only hope it worked.

rat trap
She wonders how she got herself into this mess. It's almost hilarious in a sort of ironic way, she glances up from her position wide eyed, how long had this man been there? How much did he witness? She bites her lip hard and if it was any more harder, blood would've trickled down her chin. Shit! Fiora scrambles off the man. “I-It's not what it seems.” the woman lifts her hands up to show she was unarmed, she glances at the man on the bed. Corpse stiff and not a trace of blood just like she had expected, in this endless game of cat and mouse; predator and prey is best played in the shadows.
She squints, so little did the flame light that only bits and portions of clothing, face and a glint of metal was visible to her. The glint of metal terrified her more than knowing who it was. Again her eyes grow wide this time with fear rather than surprise, she presses herself close to the window feeling the glass cool against her back, she turns around and hops up on the desk and quickly opening the window, acting upon instinct rather than rational thought. She jumps down and careless lands on a pile of boxes.
She’s stunned for a couple of moments before scrambling up to her feet and running as far as her legs can take her, to safety she thinks to herself as her heart pounds wildly in her ears. Fiora rushes through alleyways, pushing small crowds away, past gates, and skids around a corner huffing. Relaxes even for the briefest of moments, pressing her back against the cool stone. She inhales deeply sucking in air into her lungs. She hears the sound of distant footsteps and she isn't too sure if it's another person or the shadow that caught her. It didn't matter who it was all that mattered was her survival.
Fiora steels herself, reaching for her bladed fan; flicks it open exposing a blossom of blades, her stance is defensive and feral. “Stai indietro e non muoverti!" she shouts gripping her weapon tightly watching in the dim light of the moon her knuckles turn white. Adrenaline courses through her veins overriding her exhaustion, she tries to regain her composure, but fuck was it hard. Too hard. Her body screamed for rest but she had decided to stay right where she was for better or worse. “I mean it!” she snarls out.
