As the Ghost landed on Lothal, the weight of all that had changed really hit Kallus. Going back to a place tended to have that effect; the scenery seemed to let the memories of the past stand in stark contrast with the realities of the present. While it wasn’t like he became a Rebel yesterday, being a spy did have a very different feel to actually being present.
After all, while he was a mole, the whole point was that people would look at him and still see an Imperial Agent and now, well, they were keeping a low-profile so with any luck people would just see two normal, undistinguished civilians. Thinking about it, it had been a very long time since he’d last been a normal, undistinguished civilian.
But even if this was just a simple supply run, it wasn’t the time to get distracted by any of those existential feelings and Kallus silenced them with practiced skill.
He glanced over to Hera, deferring to her lead.
