May I ask, if it's not a bother, what does Synpath and Otherheart mean? I've never heard these terms, are they related to Kinning?
Not a bother at all!! I love talking about my otherkinity!! (I think that’s the word for it?)
So, I use synpath differently than most other people do. Traditionally, a synpath is something you really relate to but don’t identify as. It’s the difference between saying “This is actually me” and “This is like me”.
For me, however, I use synpath to mean something that might be me, but the connection isn’t as clear or strong as my kins. My kins are actually me; my synpaths are almost me, if that makes sense. My kins are like looking in a mirror; my synpaths are like looking in a mirror that’s reaaaally foggy. It looks like it could be me, but the mirror isn’t clear enough for me to tell for sure. For this reason, I do identify as my synpaths, just not as deeply as I do with my kins.
Otherhearted is extremely difficult for me to explain in words. It’s like… something that is a fundamental part of me. I compare it to something like your ethnicity or your religion or even your gender or sexuality. It’s something that is a core part of yourself, something that makes you you. It’s like if I was a cake, my otherhearts would be parts of my recipe. I don’t know if other people in the kin community would describe it that way, but that’s the best analogy I can come up with for my experience.
Sorry if this doesn’t make sense I love talking about this stuff but I am also Bad at it fhvjsbvjhdchvdjhvvs
