Redragon Deverajas K566: The Review
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]If you’re looking for a RGB keyboard for a decent price that works as well as some of the top range brands, then this might be the keyboard for you
Starting off simply, the Redragon Deverajas is a mechanical keyboard with high-end switches with mechanical ultra-last springs, crisp and bright adjustable RGB LED backlighting. The heavy over-engineered keyboard has been built to play for hours on end and for the heaviest of fingers! The spill-proof, metal frame sports a hefty design with beautiful RGB backlighting and the classic Redragon text printed on the keys. The 180cm cable comes with a long gold plated USB on the end, 5V standard input. The keyboard sits beautifully in place on your desk thanks to the weight resting on 4 strong non-slip rubber feet on the underside, no need to worry about slipping and sliding anymore! In the box, you get a driver CD, a key remover, a switch remover and 5 extra switches which you can swap out in case your cheese curl laced finger break something.
Using this keyboard for an extensive period of time has proven to be something more than I had initially expected. As someone who has used an extensive ranger of keyboards and keyboard switch types, I personally chose to settle for the Blackwidow Chroma from Razer. So, I thought that this keyboard was far behind the Blackwidow, boy was I wrong, the longer I used the Deverajas the more accustomed I had become to its fluidity and design. My typing went from 50 words per minute to 60 words per minute just because I believe the design best suited my hand size (Large), the key were more precise and you can feel every key has been defined in its own shell. I love this keyboard. In my opinion, this is the best mechanical keyboard under R2000 on the market.
The beautiful tucked design of the Deverajas combined with the metal finished give you a heavy looking monster that sits on your desk ready to be beaten. The RGB backlighting lights up each key individually and it is best noticed when you play with the onboard settings, which is easy, just hit the function (FN) key and hit any of the secondary numbers on the Insert, Home, PG UP, PG Down, Delete or End keys. Each setting has a grouping of lighting presets that can be changed at the click of a button. The backlighting is bright and definitely one of the better “cheaper” RGB Mech keyboards on the market.
In short, I used this keyboard for a large number of different tasks. I used it to play games such as: Overwatch, Fortnite, ARK Survival Evolved, Sniper Elite 3, osu!, Paladins, PUGB, and Maple Story 2. In addition, I also decided to use this keyboard at work for a week, seeing as the typing felt so great! I had nothing but great experiences with this keyboard, not a single issue from the start. The actuation is short, not sure on the exact stats but I felt no difference to my Razer Switches.[/vc_column_text][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”32408,32409,32410,32411,32412,32414,32415″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]
