I want to make my own DE dreads (I've watched about an hour of different videos on YouTube) and I just want to know what you think is best? I've seen you mention about your dreads and I was just wondering what you think? I want them to look like they are part of my own hair (like pretty normal) and I was going to do a DE transitional from dark brown to electric blue so I could braid them in my hair. I'm not really too fond of falls because of the part you get in the middle of your head. Any advice? What about loops?

Hey sweetie! When in doubt, I tend to follow dag-girl (rivet licker)'s way of doing things, but it is really personal taste.

 Firstly, I think you've made the right choice going for DE's I find them so much easier to make and to install than SE's. I also find them easier to make with a steam iron, but that is because my steamer is not very good.

Your colour scheme sounds great :) if you order from I kick Shins, she'll be able to help you match the colour of your kk to your own hair colour if you so wanted.

 I can offer loads of advice, but I could be here all day if I explained everything, what kind of thing do you want advice about? Also, I am sorry, but I dont understand what you mean by loops?

I would say, make a good dread station for backcoming and sealing that wont hurt your back, make a few testers before doing a pile of back combing to find you cannot seal them right. Get a sturdy comb, master your backcombing. Without the erection test (if it cannot stand up on its own without flopping) you've not back-combed enough. Good, strong, even back-combing is the base to any dread set- that and sectioning the hair well so your dreads are a uniform size!
