Two desert island discs for lost souls and the adventurous...both debut albums are  from masters of NOISE-ART within the context of seemingly “traditional” song structures. Blame their relevance on the two masters of aleatoric synth noise...jarring electronic punches, stabs of filtered waveforms, and random bubbles and bleeps that accent and emphasize a dystopian sound world. 

Brian Eno of Roxy Music, master of the EMS VCS3 synth, pokes at the listener’s complacency, knowing all the time he is the person navigating, intent on exploring new sound-worlds. Allen Ravenstine of Pere Ubu, the quiet man in the group, knows exactly when to propel sonic detritus into the mix...the songs are perched on beds of arcane noise, produced. by an EML 100 analog synth,that resembles the liminal ghost noise found between AM stations.

Both albums are BREATH-TAKING!
