Tal’kaela scanned the skies for the circling silhouettes of mandibuzz.  They were said to be on Poni island, where they nested and raised their young.  With her pair of Toucannons keeping an extra eye out for the wild pokemon said to be rampant on Poni island, Tal’kaela hoped that she’d be able to glean some information on the mating and nesting habits of mandibuzz.

The trainer got far more than she bargained for, however, when one of her Toucannons uttered a warning squawk.  Snapping her attention back to the ground, she caught sight of a creature unlike any pokemon known to any region.  The creature she knew to be called “silvally”

This one, however had the outstanding feature of large black wings that adorned it’s back.  Tal’kaela’s breath caught in her throat, the creature was truly beautiful.  ...but they were said to be highly aggressive, from what she had heard.  Very slowly, she knelt down and waited for it to notice her; the last thing she wanted to do was spook it and make it fly off.  She drew a few pokebeans out of her bag, hoping that the scent of food wouldn’t make it aggressive.

Silvally was a bizarre creature (and not just in looks), certainly one he has next to no information about, so when one approaches, he has no idea what to do.

Is it going to attack? Run away? Is it running from someone? Is--

It's... giving him a gift, it seems. A berry.

Carefully, he takes the offered fruit, turning it over in his hand a few times before nodding, then cautiously patting part of its head that lacked a crest.

"Thank you." he says quietly, fearing that speaking louder might chase the Silvally away. "These are always useful."

⊰ The twins sat side by side. Each motion perfectly mimicked by the other. They watched everyone wander this way and that; some people had already begun to get drunk, others were feeding themselves, some were dancing and then there the few stragglers that the Chimeras sometimes poked in on. You know, as they should. After all, why should Gladion be the only one to commingle with all these guests and they can’t?

But one thing was for certain, they all asked as to why there were TWO of them. Which was only met with a cant of either head, a sly mirrored smile and then both amalgam promptly excused themselves.

They were perfectly contented fooling everyone despite the inconsistencies that some were able to pick at. They were, however, a bit astounded to find the winged one crop up within the entryway of the ballroom. After a brief discussion they made haste to great the other; Silva moving onto its left side and Aether moving to take up its right, cooing and purring softly in greeting.

Silva was the first to speak outright, ⊱

“Welcome, my friend. I can’t say I was expecting such an acquaintance to show…”

“… But we are pleased regardless!”

⊰ Both of them exuded a rather welcoming aura, each of them hefting a forepaw and waving about the vast room. ⊱

“Welcome to Aether, not to be confused with THE Aether beside you I’m afraid… They are very different from one another.”

⊰ As if on cue, Aether cocked its head and offered a mirthful wink to accentuate what Silva had said. ⊱

“We hope you enjoy yourself!”

⊰ That last line said in confusing unison albeit. ⊱
