#psa.#current events.#activism.#i briefly talked ab the druze a lil while back but they're an ethnoreligious group that're v cool but they're unfortunately oppressed.#& i don't even think my fellow activists really know who druze are & i learned about them a few months ago#please stand with the druze people!#they're a rly small peaceful minority group in west asia & were historically persecuted for centuries during the mamluk & ottoman periods.#a lot of human rights groups & experts highlight a systemic failure to protect the druze minority.#& since 2024 last year they've been subjected to massacres looting & abductions.#which isn't good & i hope more awareness is spread about this !!#tw; druzephobia#<- is that a word? idk im using it#btw this isn't to be confused with like celtic druids !! two different things!!#the druze are an arab esoteric religious group from west asia & the druze faith is abrahamic monotheistic & syncretic & very secretive!#they believe in reincarnation & most religious practices are kept secret like my indigenous practice & they speak arabic & it's pretty cool#here's hoping things get better for them!!#asia.#syria.
